Seems good but HORRIBLY optimized i can usually run ultra to high graphics on most games but with this on the lowest possible settings its barely 40 steady fps, dont buy this untill its fixed
I'm not super happy with the game. Assuming this game will continue to be updated in the future I will try to separate critiques on aspects that I see as temporary and permanent. Temporary Guns feel underwhelming. Customization feels limited. Permanent It seems like the Devs are going a single POV story telling approach. I really miss parts of project nimbus where you are forced to transition from the main flagship mech into a dinky mass produced mech. it really felt like there was some flavor added to the world building when you get to pilot mechs produced for different reasons from different factions. Dark warspite is kinda forgettable. I was roughly keeping up with the campaign as the missions were being released. The second time I saw dark warspite was a couple months or so after the first encounter. I honestly forgot he was the apparent antagonist. I'm realizing my largest gripes have to do with story telling. If you just care about shooting things then the game may get better in the future when there is more weapon variety.
Right... so... I don't have all too much playtime yet but I think I got a pretty good look at what this game has to offer. Just like with the original game, this one still shows that GCT is new to making games and still has a lot of things to learn. The performance is... not great, the voice acting is just as it was in Project Nimbus (being rather... lacking at points.) and so on...
BUT
Nimbus Infinity has it's own charms. It plays very much like classic mecha games and it's story is just as out there. The voice acting is endearing in it's very own way and you'll find yourself attached to the characters before long. The character art and little pre-mission conversations add a nice touch to the game that a lot of similar projects don't have. It immediately becomes clear that the devs thought about this universe and it's lore a lot. The mech designs are clearly inspired by the classics, yet have their own, original touches. (We all know why Warspite has those colours) Yes, there is a lot of work to be done even past early access. No it's not gonna be Armored Core. But it's a solid game for such a small team. Their passion for the Nimbus universe is undeniable. They're not some AAA company but a group of students doing what they love. The game is 12 bucks and goes on sale frequently, try and remember that. Dispite all it's flaws... I cannot not recommend it.
If it's on sell you should try this game out, it's fun.

One of the later missions is broken which makes progressing the story impossible and there are numerous other issues. Unfortunately the last update was in 2024. Also what all the other reviews here say: this game is inferior to Project Nimbus in pretty much every aspect.
Very fun game i love it
