This is a game with a very basic premise, but is incredibly enjoyable when it works. The laughs and satisfaction you get by being smart with your plays and trap placements are unmatched. However, there are many problems that prevent this from being something more. First off, the shotgun negates the entire stealth and strategic aspects of this game. Everyone runs around one-shotting each other with very little care for stealth. Just bomb-rushing like Rambo. This completely ruins the experience and main draw of the game. If the shotgun was reworked, it would improve the gameplay drastically, as that focus on stealth and strategic placements will be forefront. Secondly, what you get for $13 isn't enough. Now, I got the game for free via their Discord server, but there is not enough value here if you paid the asking price. No progression system, no varying game-modes, and nothing to keep you coming back for more. There just simply is not enough here to warrant the price. Beneath these problems is a solid game and idea here. However, these problems are way too major to ignore, and prevent this from being a truly great experience. If you have a group of 6 friends, I think you could really have some amazing fun here. However, the shotguns absolutely obliterate the enjoyment in a public lobby. Reworking the shotgun or removing it entirely would greatly benefit the health of the game, and definitely make it more worth returning to for a fun time-waster. If the Developers slash the price to around $5, or substitute it with more bang for your buck, along with reworking the shotgun, I'd fully recommend it. But as it stands, unless these problems are addressed, I think it's better staying away or waiting for a very deep discount.

Honestly I'm sorry but behind the scenes with the amount of darkness we were left in while playtesting and the way the game ended up turning out, being basically dead with nobody playing even as an update came out, it's not hard to see why this game has no players anymore pretty much! Also you guys never fixed the sell glitch. I told you, that has the ability to crash games! And James, please don't cut all of the people helping with the development of this game off just because of some petty drama you had with someone else! Maybe you're the reason the game failed... because of that!
I was ask by my good friend ( user is a community manager). I got to try the game out and we were suppose to just make short tiktok videos and such for the creator of this game (they also made Last Year The Nightmare). Behind the scenes we told him and the other devs about changes needed to be made and all. At first, stuff was being work on, games was fun with friends, and we been having a great time! Being part of something like this was a dream to me, AND FOR THE CREATORS OF LY! My favorite game of all time! I EVEN GOT TO MAKE THE TRAILER FOR THIS GAME, I dream about making video game trailers for company's as it is my passion. Its what i'm good at. While having a blast with the game, there was some shady stuff behind scenes and James not being "professional to a certain level". Mainly that it takes at least a week for him to get back at us and talk to us. We would have to wait and sit there for him to message us back, and he would use my community manager friend as his scout messenger. It was really annoying. The choices he made and still, he is making to this day is just so sad and disappointing. I'm not gonna list out his future ideas because that's not cool, but its just not smart choices (P.S i'm not under a NDA). The reason why he kick me off was because of what my friend's did. They did a Q and A with one of the old Last Year devs. They told my friend that his leadership was just so bad, most of the dev team actually quit. Than that stream some how got to the creator of both Last Year and this game, and he decided to cut us all out, and even said that were not professional and were spreading lies. (Cant really be lies if everyone is saying this...) He also said more hurtful thing's and I got super depress from that. I was new to this kind of work and I wanted to try my best. Now onto the game, DON'T BUY IT. Its not good. Maps - All of the map was rework and there all bad now. there not unique anymore and don't bring attention, there all plane and boring. Also, that school map, that was the test map... a fully finish map that US, the play tester's stumble on. It was not plan for a release and we had to tell the owner that he needs to put it out on the live build. Gameplay - The gameplay of the game is... decent, its a smart idea and def a way to turn a spin on the Last Year IP, but the type of gameplay the owner was going for fails. It's poor balancing and how the code was made ruined the game. The flamethrower is the weakest weapon in the game because it does the same amount of damage as the Molotov. (The fire assets for the flamethrower and Molotov are the same). honestly they should just remove the flamethrower. The one person who can fix that problem, they use him as a freelancers, and kick him out and act like he wasn't even part of the project. (He work on the Last Year The Nightmare Code and was invite to work on this game for a bit, than was kick out as his "contract ended" (very scummy)). The main objective is fine and the play tester team made sure that it is balance, and trust me, me and my one friend did alot of work getting everything right, we even timed how much it takes the flag to reach it to the end goal. This is how much work we put into play testing this product. Music - The music are all from Last Year but sped up, (besides main menu), this is lazy but Ive give a pass because the owner other project vertigo is in works, and most of his team is working on that game. (EDITED VERSION, turns out that this game was meant to be "Vertigo" i think, dunno its been a while since I kept up with Neighborhood Games) Weapons - Like I said, Flamethrower is really bad and the programming team (or just programmer) doesn't bother to do anything with it. All the other weapons are fine (Keep in mind, some of the stats might have change since I last played it, so it might just be bad now... most likely). Cool that they put the killers trap into this game, its really useful and can use it for handy situation. A strat I do, buy a trap and buy a proxy mine, than when someone is chasing me, I place down a trap and if they step on it, put down the proxy. The amount of cool combinations you can do was soo fun, its def the best part about this game. Now, I suggest to not buy this game mainly because of the owner, and its low amount of players, even with new update's they only get up to 2 players (not even enough to start a full match). The effort I put into this trailer took so much of my strength and timed, this was one of my dreams come true though, as ive always wanted to make a trailer like this and at my age I was lucky (I was 17). Working with this owner was a struggle, but a fun struggle. Making a trailer was the best thing that happen to me. Even made a launch trailer for heck of it, with the help of my friends. I was going to make a trailer for his asylum map next, but I was cut out by then. The funny part is that the owner started a search on me to fine something I said. I was cut from the playtest for something I said in the official discord server. I was taking part in a conversation, and I made a joke on why Last Year fell, (Keep in mind I was young and dumb, nor wasn't even working for Neighborhood at the time). I said "It was the man behind the lack" (was hint towards the owner). This is pathetic, it should be a wake up called that he look for dirt on a 17 year old that help him fix his poor game up. I made a trailer which brought a small player base into the game He said that I'm not professional which is understandable at the time, but you have to know that im a teenager, WHOS BEEN MAKING HIS GAME GOOD. Me and my friends had to work with what we had, which is little communication. There is some good things he does, which is audio sound. For the trailer he did all the sfx (EDIT: Future me here, I can do SFX on my own now). He has a good thing going on with his audio work, but project manager is just... no. Even my friend who is good with unreal and has been learning it for almost 2 years, was planning on making him a full on suburbs map, and it was half way done, probably almost done too, but nope, I got cut off and they decided to stop. It wont see the light of day (Thats a good thing now, so it wont have to be on a terrible product.) . The amount of effort we, AND his devs put in for him, he takes it as nothing, and if it doesn't live up to his standers, it gets toss. I'm sure this happen with Last Year a'lot (EDIT: future me... yea it did). (Ahem ahem *a mall map was done since discord nightmare* ahem ahem...) This review is just to say my story behind the scenes and to lay down some facts about the leadership this guy have provided. Also making this review because he took down the trailer on the steam page... hmmm I wonder why, maybe because any criticism this guy takes, He takes it as a threat. So here's me not being "professional" as i'm talking about the owner for the most part in a steam review. Prob be taken down but still (EDIT: Future me... uh it hasn't yet?! wha?!) . This guy made a great game before, but i'm sure his dev's were in pain the whole time making it for him. (FUTURE ME) I came back to this review to edit some of my poor grammar and other things... I'm no longer depress any more and its been a few year's. I decided to start working on my own video's. I'm also working with a new company on marketing. (yes its related to Last Year). Coming back and rethinking this moment of my life, i'm happy that it happen, and I understand that there is just some people you shouldn't work with, such as this guy. Anyway's, don't buy the game... it's been dead since release, and if you do buy it, your supporting a terrible creator.
I don't usually leave reviews, but this game has been an insane amount of fun. I thouroughly have enjoyed the 3v3 interactions, the community is small, yet incredibly friendly and funny. I think this game has a ton of potential and I eagerly look forward to its progress. Pros: - The weapons seem relatively balanced - The maps are exciting and I absolutely love how nerve-wracking the corn one is Cons: - a Meta is already emerging on what items work best on what maps but that's just part of life I suppose - More CORN IS NEEDED. I need more maps where visibility is NIL. I love this ♥♥♥♥. it's awesome.
3/10
Fun concept but no progression system, skins etc, To be honest i liked the Last Year version better. I hope that the game will develop for the better, but until then I will wait.
Жена сказала если на этом обзоре будет 50 лайков и 5 наград, она купит ящик пива, мужики выручайте! My wife said if this review gets 50 likes and 5 awards, she will buy a case of beer, guys help me out!

Score: 4/10 I was expecting a better game from the devs of Last Year after that atrocious game but I was wrong. Concept is new and unique and has potential but the game has clunky movement, unbalanced weapons and the maps look terrible. There are so many bugs with the menu, loading, lobby, and the buying a selling aspect. If your teammates drop an item, everyone on the map knows where you are and where it was dropped. Don't buy this game. Not worth
I can't say anything about the gameplay because guess what? Couldn't find a game, looked at the server list...nothing, hosted a lobby and had a friend join, had one dude with no mic and some dude that wasn't even speaking english with a hot mic along with my friend who I was hearing double of, AND you can't turn that ♥♥♥♥ off, I know because I looked in the settings and couldn't find ♥♥♥♥, checked the steam charts and apparently the game averages 30 players a day max to anyone that felt bad about not getting a free key from the discord server I'd like a thank you for taking one of the keys so you didn't end up with this on your steam profile (side note, seems these people just reused a ♥♥♥♥ ton of assets from an older game that they let die and still wants to charge you money for it, don't know how true that is but both the good and bad reviews mention it and the discussion section does too, but I read that they've been deleting post's that mention that, uh, sus I say)
I played last year before it was released and then on discord and then on steam. I loved this game SO passionately. So it feels nice to have my favorite characters back. Outside of that--I do not recommend the game based off the price. If this game was 5 bucks..10 tops. I'd say for sure. It's a 3v3 capture the flag type game with it seems possibly 3 maps? I know for sure I've seen two so far. You are given a set amount of points to purchase weapons to either attack or defend. The rounds are only a cpl of minutes long and you lose by either your whole team dying or defending/stealing the objective successfully. There is no progression in the game. There's no levels/point system. None of that. But I did enjoy myself. I could see getting a group of friends together and having fun playing this. But again..NOT for that price. I enjoyed myself. There obviously are no dedicated servers. So you will play from people all over the place, and mics still seem buggy like they were in last year. But it's a simple game with the ability to have some fun here or there. Don't expect much cuz you wont get much. But it felt good to play amber again <3
