NHRA Championship Drag Racing: Speed For All is an officially licensed attempt to bring the very specific world of NHRA drag racing into an interactive format, developed by Team6 Game Studios and published by GameMill Entertainment. Unlike traditional circuit racers that focus on long laps and wheel-to-wheel competition, this title centers entirely on the short, explosive drama of the quarter-mile, where races are decided in seconds and precision matters more than sustained driving skill. From the outset, the game positions itself as both an accessible entry point for newcomers and a simulation-leaning experience for fans of the sport, leaning heavily on official branding, real drivers, and licensed classes to establish authenticity. The heart of the experience lies in its career mode, which is more involved than many players might expect from a drag racing game. Rather than simply hopping from race to race, players are asked to manage a team, earn sponsorship money, invest in research and upgrades, and gradually climb through different NHRA classes. This structure gives a sense of progression and purpose, as success is tied not only to reaction times at the starting line but also to how well you understand tuning, part durability, and race weekend preparation. For fans of motorsport management systems, this layer adds welcome depth and helps distinguish the game from more arcade-oriented racers. Actual racing is built around timing and execution rather than steering finesse. Launching at the right moment, managing wheel spin, shifting cleanly, and keeping the car stable at extreme speeds form the core of player interaction. When everything comes together, the game can deliver satisfying moments, especially when a perfectly timed start leads to a narrow victory decided by fractions of a second. However, the simplicity inherent to drag racing also works against the game at times, as races are over almost as soon as they begin. Over extended sessions, the repetition of launches and straight-line runs can start to feel mechanical, particularly for players who are not deeply invested in the nuances of drag racing culture. Presentation is a mixed bag. On one hand, the inclusion of real NHRA tracks, vehicles, and drivers lends credibility, and the sheer speed of Top Fuel and Funny Cars is conveyed reasonably well. On the other hand, the overall visual polish feels limited. Track environments are sparse, crowds are largely static, and the lack of dynamic presentation felt between events makes race weekends blur together. Menus and interfaces are functional but unremarkable, and the game does little to dramatize major milestones such as winning championships or securing top sponsorships, which can make long-term progression feel flatter than it should. Technical and design shortcomings further dampen the experience. Controls can feel restrictive, with limited customization options, especially on PC, and feedback during tuning and racing is often minimal. This makes it harder to understand why certain changes improve or worsen performance, reducing the sense of mastery that a motorsport simulation ideally encourages. Some players have also noted general roughness in performance and responsiveness, contributing to a sense that the game’s systems are serviceable but underdeveloped. Taken as a whole, NHRA Championship Drag Racing: Speed For All feels like a game built with genuine respect for its subject matter but constrained by execution and scope. It offers a structured career mode, authentic licensing, and moments of tension that will resonate with dedicated drag racing fans, yet it struggles to maintain excitement and polish over the long term. For players with a strong interest in NHRA and a tolerance for repetition and rough edges, it can provide a niche but engaging experience. For a broader racing audience, however, its limited variety, presentation issues, and mechanical simplicity may make it feel more like a specialized curiosity than a must-play racing title. Rating: 4/10
Ignore the negative reviews if you're knowledgeable about drag racing. It's a decent enough drag racing sim to be worth the money. It's a lazy console port, and the UI is pathetic. But it runs on Unreal Engine 4.27, so you can edit your .ini files in c:\Users\Your PC Name\AppData\Local\NHRA and control everything down to the granular level. I'm using a Thrustmaster T300RS GT wheel and pedals set to 1080-degrees, and I added entries to Input.ini and FFB.ini and it works perfect. I also use Steam Launch Options, nVidia Control Panel, and edited Engine.ini and GameUserSettings.ini to set my graphics. I'm running it maxed out in DX12 at 2560x1440 and it looks and performs great. If you're willing to do some file tweaking to get around the UI shortcomings, the game is a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend it. And remember, practice makes perfect! You'll get the hang of drag racing if you stick with it. EDIT: I mentioned above that I was running this game in DX12. Do not do that. Stick with DX11. The lower level access of DX12 seems to throw off the game's calculations. Things are much better in DX11, and you can still tweak everything up, as I mentioned above.
This game is the peak of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ everytime i play this game i feel like someone is grabbing my nut sack and twisting it i would cast this game on my worst enemy and To the creator of this game i ♥♥♥♥♥♥ your wife ♥♥♥♥♥.
Oh God... This is the worst game I’ve ever played. Developed by absolute rednecks – NO GRAPHIC OPTIONS, no clue, no shame.
The controls especially when turning is very janky, yes janky is the best worst way I could describe the handling of the cars. My crash ratio to finishing at the line is 99 - 1 SO NO THANKS. Also there's no way to change a single input control, not even graphical settings. Even on the discount I bought it for, it's just not worth keeping tbh
O jogo ignora.
ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE!! WHAT A DISGRACE! if i were the developers and i took this long to develop this trash id be ashamed to put my nam,e on it! unrealistic as hell, i dont think anyone that worked on the game has ever even been to an nhra drag race let alone actually raced! everything about the game is mediocre at BEST! do better next time guys! or open source the name and let the internet do theiur own thing with it!
No proper controls for PC, unplayable
It's lackluster and bare minimum. Not forgiving to say the least. A wall tap at 100mph or you slip-up like a mustang warming up the tires you're replacing every part group and you finish the weekend with less money than you started with. Graphics are amazing, can't customize settings though. Vehicle customization is downright disappointing. "Cool, 4 liveries and I can change the paint scheme... :(" You're buying upgrades in groups (torque, grip, deceleration(parachute), top speed, etc). Not for car enthusiasts that appreciate in depth car modifications such as; pro charged, manual-auto, tire size, body kits/aero, nitrous. This is more at the depth for people who enjoy going to the track to sit in the stands and drink beer. Not for people that carry an interest in all the work that goes on in the pits/builds. Best part of the experience was knowing I only wasted $7.50 because of black Friday. If you're looking for an NHRA drag razing sim. This is not it.
this game is terrible!! one of the worst racing games ive ever played. it is super easy and boring. Everything is so basic and generic as well. no real manufacturers on the cars and small list of actual drivers. It also made my steering wheel freak out and vibrate super loud. If you like drag racing i would reccomond the games on the ps2. Way more realistic and challenging.
