WARNING: DO NOT GET THIS FOR PCVR. According to their most recent social media update, it seems that StatusPRO is abandoning all hope for this game for PCVR. With their newest update (Ability to play as a linebacker, more plays, better visuals) was sadly only shipped out to people who own the meta quest 2/3. Leaving the rest of us kinda $hit out of luck. Here's an actual quote taken by their social media team via TIktok: "The currently available versions will still be accessible for you to play, but there is no release date set for the new game on Steam at this time." Huge bummer because i was all for this game when it dropped. Hopefully they give us the update the questies get, but until then my thumbs down on this game will stay.
WARNING: IF YOU WANT TO GET THE NEW NFL PRO ERA 2025, IT WILL MOST LIKELY NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR PCVR. IT SEEMS THAT THEY HAVE CEASED ALL UPDATES TO PCVR, AND HAVE SWITCHED TO THE QUEST 2/3. AND APPARENTLY THE DEFENSE UPDATE ON QUEST 2/3 IS ALSO PAID. IT IS NOT A FREE UPDATE. IF YOU HAVE PLAYED FOR LESS THAN 2 HOURS AND ARE ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND, I WOULD RECOMMEND GETTING ONE. Nice way to treat your PCVR people StatusPro.
can't recommend. quest users who bought Pro Era 1 and 2 get the 2025 new pro era, the steam players who were just as loyal get nothing in return. the game is only on quest. the devs ignored it, didn't even give a reason to why the game isn't on pc or psvr2.
Do not buy this, they are not putting the new version on Steam. Nice way to treat your PCVR customers.

The Good - All NFL Teams & Stadiums (sky-box, flags, environment external to stadium is static, which can look bizarre). - Locker room, practice field, exhibitions, two-minute drill, and a season mode. Plenty of playable content. - Multiplayer!! - Coach confidence adds depth to your game and QB development. - Sideline interactions (when they don't bug out). The Okay - Coach has something to say after every drive, and nearly a third of the time it's inconsistent with what actually happened on the field. For example: receiver catches a ball, but then fumbles it. If the other team recovers it, the game logic is only discerning a change of possession, so coach will tell you to "shake off that interception". Other such logical errors are frequent. - Receiver animations are decent...but they're limited in that they're animations. As far as I can tell, there is no physics based anything occurring on the field, reducing believability substantially (same issue EA games have). This can be painful to experience in games against "tougher teams". You'll notice an uptick in bogus, irrational passing parabolas, football clipping directly through a receiver to a defender, not-so-coincidental fumbles and dropped passes, etc. - Throwing, even with the recent update, leaves some to be desired. With roughly the same passing motion, my QB has about a 10% chance to just up and fumble the ball, or fling the darn thing into orbit. 2MD:VR is far and away better with passing mechanics, and half the price. I recommend that game over this one if throwing mechanics are what draws you to a VR football title. It's not even close. The Bad - Coach play calls are god awful sometimes. That...needs a rework or the player needs more control early in your coach confidence climb. Some of the play calls are embarrassingly off base. - Coach time management is worse. You have a timeout option hiding under your left arm...but that doesn't spare the other team from mind-numbingly poor clock management. - The field announcers know what is going on, at best, half of the time. - Some real life players just do not exist on their respective teams. (For example: Brock Purdy) - The sheer amount of unblocked rushers on the line is far and away poorly conceived. A free rusher is never a matchup issue on the line, just some weird dice roll. - Sidelines are devoid of life. That includes most of your team. I think there's like...8 people out there maybe. Overall It's okay. Certainly an improvement over Pro Era, but arguably not worth $30. Especially for how much the game leans on animations rather than physics. EA gets away with this due to name recognition and lack of major competition, but that is a temporary circumstance, and the furthest you can get from a good reason to copy the model. Especially for a VR game of all things.
StatusPRO took their money from PCVR, and sold out to an exclusivity deal with Meta. Do not buy this game. No new updates since April 2024. Quest gets all the updates now. Fun for a few hours then you lose interest. Would probably keep playing if it received updates. Oh well.
Great game. Be nice if people actually played on steam though... Haven't been able to play a head to head game in literally months since there is a max of about 1 to 2 people who play this each day through steam smh
I bought both 1 and 2 hoping they would keep up with just for them to switch to meta and charge another $40 for an update on the first game total trash dev team!!!
