NewTypes is a free Early Access space flight trainer in VR. It worked on my HTC Vive and Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. You ride in a space pod around the space map in zero gee. Has a gun to shoot at targets. Uses xbox controller or keyboard / mouse for flight controls only. Has instructions. CONS: Might cause motions sickness, if you fly too fast. The space pod is very primitive looking. Try it then delete it.

[h1] Played this on the Oculus Rift with keyboard and mouse [/h1] Touch controllers do not work. It's a very short space sim that's kind of weird. You control throttle with W key and direction with cursor keys and shoot with spacebar. You fly in a very limited space area with a few moons, something that looks like the ISS and what may be the earth. You can't get too close to the earth. You shoot these red barrels in space that explode when hit. And you fly around. The spaceship you control in first person view is pretty sparse and so is the area you can fly in. The graphics are subpar. I mean it's free. It's cool if you've never experienced space free flight in VR. But otherwise it's a pass. Rating 4.9/10 is it worth the download? ... maybe for some ... probably not for most VR veterans

It's ok, but it needs a short tutorial, because i kept pressing space at the asteroids and nothing happening. But it's in early access so it could be changed.

NewTypes, seems like a short but neat space experience, but there really is no reason to even consider trying this without a VR headset. Its just not that cool on its own. Either way I was glad I at least got the chance to try it, since its free.
