About

In News Tower, dive into the chaos of 1930s New York in a management tycoon game where you build and manage your own newspaper.
From the Great Depression to the brink of World War II every Sunday brings a new deadline, and every article is a strategic decision. Between editorial dilemmas, newsroom breakdowns, and political pressure, you’ll shape the future of your newspaper to start your media empire!

Start with a blank floor and shape your newsroom from the ground up. As your newspaper grows, unlock new levels and transform each one into a fully functional hub of journalism. From printing stations and compositing desks to the legal corner for damage control, every workstation is key to keep the presses running.
Smart layout choices: walls, elevators, pneumatic tubes directly impact how efficiently your team works under pressure. And because morale matters too, add coffee machines, posters, and the essential indoor green plant to ensure your employees’ well-being!

Reporters, photographers and janitors without forgetting the unexpendable ads salesperson… Lead a diverse team across 30+ unique job roles each with their own traits, needs, and expertise.
Juggle hunger, focus and logistics to maximize productivity. Unlock dozens of upgrades from gramophone to slot machines, to turn your dingy tower into a prestigious workspace. A happy newsroom is a productive newsroom, especially when Sunday is always just around the corner.

Each week begins with one goal: getting your edition ready for Sunday’s deadline. Assign leads to your reporters, choose your editorial approach, influence public perception through your chosen tone and tags, and compose your newspaper.
Cover key topics like Crime, Politics, or Sports, and refine your story’s angle to match your editorial line. Well-researched articles or eye-grabbing headlines, will you aim for respect or reach?
Every choice impacts your readers’ perception, reactions, and sales. Nail the mix and profits soar or miss the mark and you risk backlash, lawsuits, or courtesy visits from the mob...

Four major factions partake in the city’s power struggle: the Mayor, the Mafia, the Military (in 1.0), and High Society. They’ll push their own agendas and offer shady deals in exchange for cash, influence, exclusive rewards, and vital new connections across the Big Apple. Whose truth will you print, and whose secrets will you bury?
Not everyone is in favor of freedom of the press…

Publish your newspaper across NYC districts, from Harlem to Wall Street. Each borough has its own reader profiles, preferences, and rewards. To grow your subscriber base, tailor stories to local tastes while staying ahead of two aggressive rivals: the Empire Observer and Jersey Beacon. They’ll steal your precious scoops but by targeting the right interests, you can win their audiences and become New York’s most influential publisher.

Estuve jugando muy enganchado al principio, pero se queda corto muy rapido. Se vuelve repetitivo
PLAYING ON STEAM DECK DOCKED WITH MOUSED AND KEYBOARD Highly addictive. The gameplay loop is simple to learn but always keeps you on your toes. Laying out your paper and then printing it is very satisfying. And that is before you start mastering combos and matching tags. There are upgrades, but unlike similar games, it does not feel like a grind to get to them. Everything feels natural. Some of the tips could have been better. A few times they just amount to a throwaway line. And it does have some long loading screens. Overall, this is a fantastic game.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Finished the whole game in 126 hours. 1. Easy to play and replayable if you really like simulation building 2. Keep it up, looking forward for something like radio tower or media tower game in the future
It gets extremely tedious to have to send people out nonstop and juggle enough different stories with no way to dispatch reporters unless you do it manually. 2-4 dispatches per news story and everything else and it just turns into a grind. The reporter returns having done 1/4 of the work to complete the article and I have to turn them around and send them back so they do the rest of the work in increments of 1/4? Thats painful. Whats more, the tower itself is feels disgustingly thin with no room to place anything. When you start needing illustrators and photographers and have to set up 2 additional production chains it just forces you to minmax/optimize the fun out of the game just to slog forward. The lowrise building "solves" this by giving you more wide space so you can set up the chains but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you need to play for 40+ hours to be able to start a new game with a building that isn't ridiculous. I'm tired of having to manually move every single piece of furniture individually to make room for small expansions as part of progression. Its terrible.
5.5/10 Game - Really enjoyed the first 5 hours of gameplay, then I tried to like it more than I realized it deserved... But I really wanna like it... Game has a lot of very interesting Ideas and potential. The Press Industry in the 1900s is a great scenario, and at the start the game really captivates you with it's atmosphere and mechanics and managing the reporters and news in your news company, and organizing the news in the paper, It's really damn innovative and a blast... for 5 hours... But by the middle of a game it just transforms into this click fest where nothing matters anymore... You just keep clicking and clicking and majority of time will be spent in this World menu sending wichever reporter is idle to collect more news to put on the newspaper at the end of the week and again and again.. Customizing the tower become a side activity, everything in fact become a side activity to "sending reporters to get news", and by this I mean clicking 5 buttons again and again. If at least the "reporter getting news" was an interesting loop, but it isn't... just clicking some buttons.... By the time you are getting 4+ news at the same time in the world (and this is really the mid game), you just don't have time (or really motive) to do anything else. As soon one news is done another pop up and the cycle continues... Then when the week ends in what should be the climax of the game of putting together the news in the newspaper, making combos and other strategies, wich was very exciting by the first 5 hours, it becomes a slog, where you are just min/maxing what sells the most and really getting a headache doing it with up to 18 news in 6 pages... Hoping for it to end soon for you to go back to clicking to get news again... I would rather play tetris as soon as the news magic ends, for real... I'ts a shame cuz it's so good and chill game until it isn't. I would like to pass more time managing the tower, the budgets, the business aspect, or seeing the news matter more, the reporters matter more... I would refund if I knew the magic ends so soon into the game, when I buy a Tycoon I expect it to be engaging for at least some dozens of hours...
gut
Such a good newspaper tycoon game. I would appreciate it, if they added the full article instead of just headlines.
