if companies can terminate a game at anytime, then I should be allowed a refund at anytime
Fantastic game once upon a time. Could have had a long run, if not for exploits, greed, and amazon fiddling with everything to maximize profit. Roll the updates back by about 2 years, sell it to the rust developer and let us get back to collecting fiber in mass
How you gonna be backed by an infinite money generator and still fumble? Industry plant failure.

Nearly 400 hours from the launch of this game and even during the break I took I always thought about how incredible it was. Every single hour I spent playing this game brought me peace during the most difficult period of my life. Hearing that the game was being shut down permanently on 1/2027 hit me like a ton of bricks because I've always planned to come back to it. Now, I have well over 200 dollars spent into something I truly enjoyed but can never use again, not even for anything offline. Not to mention the millions and millions of other people that have been effectively robbed and not only of their money but of the opportunity to keep playing something that brought them peace, joy or whatever else they got from this game. To the hardworking developers of this game - the men and women that actually worked on this game and made it into what it was, I appreciate your efforts. This game being shut down does not mean you made a sub-par product or did anything inherently wrong to any consumer as I can read through the patch notes and see that you listened to and cared about the communities cares and concerns more than nearly any other large scale MMORPG that I have played. This is truly sickening and I will put energy into hoping Amazon loses double the money they believe they are "saving" by stealing from their customers on such a massive scale and in such an egregious manner. I will crack every single Amazon backed game moving forward and spread it to as many people as I can. If buying isn't owning, piracy isn't stealing.
I put this game down years ago but I wanted to chime in and once again say, AGS is the worst company in history.
If a company can shut down a game at any time and run off with the proceeds after milking it dry and running it into the ground, I should be able to get a refund at any time. Amazon took what was, by all accounts, a profitable game (over six million copies sold early on by all accounts, just on steam). Another example of product that millions of people spend money on only to have the money-greedy company snatch it away without even providing the means to continue playing it in a single player format. Because like so many others, Amazon is only really here for the money and has no desire to be accountable for their poor decisions.
Honestly once a great game, now being shelved due to mismanagement. Hopefully private servers become a thing for this game. Keeping up with the reviews' on this store. if companies can terminate a game at anytime, then I should be allowed a refund at anytime.

NO
For those wondering, no you cannot buy this game no more and the game servers will be shut down in 2027. This game had a lot of potential then went down hill once they opened/ made it cross play 3 years after launching the game. It had a rushed unfinished system they still yet could not fix even after 5 years of the game being out, people exploiting bugs and glitches, and when the cross play launched they switched it up from very hardcore pvp and looting to a pve focused game. there is basically zero end game content (storyline, quests) and another thing that killed the game and player base was turning this game from what was a survival sandbox game into a cash grab mmo game which if you wanted to look cool or pretty you would have to spend actual money on 2/10 after rework/rerelease and possibly an 7-8/10 when it first was launched.
