Fenryl https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2654589479

The game has the "choose your own adventure" tag yet only one option really matters from my experience. Spoilers below i wanted to play through making the choices that i would do in real life, not what should be done, but what i wouldve done. i said there was no meaning found on day 1, and after that i wasnt asked about anything that would've changed anything form there on out, until the last day i had no options i could only click one button that drove him to suicide, and seeing my name on the dialogue saying it really pissed me off. i didnt kill him, you dont need a meaning of life to live. the game even says that in the end, yet it doesnt let u help him after saying no meaning was found on day 1. this is so shallowly scripted that i hate this. you only get one choice that actually matters. nothing else. which is not what life or contemplating suicide is about. i frankly want to say this is bullsht

I would recommend this game to people with Family or friends who are going though the themes of this game. Spoilers The Game it self I liked the story and the message It was trying to say,
But the way it was Pro-trade wasn't Great. I know the One Ending is being the Mean negative so far in most of the reviews but I feel the fact Having your choices Matter should have a impact, not having a choice is good way to Show Depression, but I feel that the things that luke would Say too Other Characters should Have Proved His Death. Like he says Something off to his friends or to his Mother and that One of them would show up to stop him. I feel That would be a good way to show Someone in need of help, but also having a good Support System can help you.
[*]Story: 5/10 [*]Music 9/10 [*]Game 3/10
I understand the purpose of the game, and the message behind it, but I absolutely do not recommend this for people who have certain triggers or are currently in a depressive episode. I liked it a lot, but I don't think it's safe for people who are struggling at the time of playing it.
Wow, this was such a dark game. But I liked it. Very heavy stuff. I definitely recommend playing this game. Its such an important topic. I hope this game creates a community of people supporting others. Only together can we beat the darkness.
New Meaning is not a game, it's an e-book that's been dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual/interactive novel, this doesn't feature any notable gameplay, it's just a lot of clicking through badly written dialogue that would never have been accepted or published in print, which poses the question, "How did something this badly written end up on Steam?". When someone hoping to become an author is unable to get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam, under the guise of a game. This E-book single handedly cured all cases of depression in the world. Not. But that's what this is about... this high school fanfiction tier writer generally thought he treat mental illness with a crap E-book. This kind of thing isn't ok, here's why. Trying to address mental health issues through the medium of video games (or in this case, crap Ren'Py e-books) is misguided and can be harmful. While it's plausible to suggest the intention was noble, this can do more harm than good. Failed authors (who have to resort to Steam Direct to publish their high school anime club dropout fanfictions) are not professionals in areas of mental health and social problems, and when they use video games to pretend they are, this can cause far more harm than good. It's my opinion that it's improper to use garbage e-books like this to try "cure" illnesses. Apart from the harm such hamfisted attempts at addressing mental health can cause, this offers zero benefit to PC gamers. People suffering from health issues or other social problems should seek out professional help rather than going to crap shovelware writing school dropout stuff like this. Visual novels/e-books are tedious at best... imagine the best novel you ever read, be that Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy or 2001: A Space Odyssey or Twilight (if you have terrible taste in literature), but then translate that to a format where the words dribble out and you have to click your mouse every time you wanted to read the next sentence, instead of just turning the pages. You'd think it was garbage. Now imagine that experience, but with much worse writing (because if these guys could write professionally, they'd be published authors and this would be on shelves in bookstores, and they wouldn't have to pay Valve $100 to self-publish this on Steam), and you have your average Steam e-book. One of the chief problems with failed authors polluting Steam with non-game E-books is that E-books can easily just be presented in a web browser... there's no justification for charging money on Steam for what might as well be a webpage. We don't spend thousands on buying a gaming rig to spend money on Steam for something Chrome or Firefox could do. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the e-book peaked at only 14 concurrent readers... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. The funny thing is, if you wanted to print this book, you'd only need to print 14 copies to satsify the entire world's demand for it. While this E-book is "free", you can get better quality, professionally written books and comics for free online (from places like Project Gutenberg) or from public libraries. Steam isn't a comic book store, neither is it Netflix, it's for games. Your gaming rig is not a Kindle. It's impossible for me to recommend things to PC gamers that aren't really games.
this game is awesome, i mean its really depressing but its really accurate depiction of how a person with severe depression operates.
