About

Welcome... to New Day!
New Day is an upcoming life simulation game where almost anything can happen! Create your own islanders, design their apartments, and get involved with their day-to-day life as they divulge into unexpected friendships, problems, and more!

Within New Day, you'll be able to use the Islander Creator to create your very own original islanders! The Islander Creator features different eyes, mouths, eyebrows, hairstyles, species, and even a makeup creator -- where you can create custom faces of your own!
The Islander Creator is filled with endless possibilities and creative freedom so that you can make the islander you want.

The Room Editor is a tool in New Day that you'll use to create custom apartments for your islanders. You'll be able to add up to 4 rooms per apartment, and will be able to decorate to your hearts content.
Some pieces of furniture might host some... interesting lore...

You'll be able to interact with each, individual islander, which will allow them to form their own opinion of you!
Interacting with an islander allows you to access a variety of unique interactions, such as playing mini-games with them, solving a problem they might have, and more!
Interactions don't stop at islanders, though, as you'll have access to multiple buildings on your island, such as a movie theater, an arcade, and a clothing shop! Each building will host an NPC that you'll be able to befriend, if you choose to. Befriending the keepers of each building might grant you additional rewards that you won't find anywhere else in the game!

Islanders in New Day will be able to form friendships with other islanders, and even relationships, if it gets that far!
Friendships/Relationships will form based on how much time islanders spend together, if they have common interests, and their personality trait. If all goes well, maybe two of your favorite islanders will end up together, get married, and... well... the rest explains itself.
In New Day, it's entirely possible that a friendship is one-sided, and only one of the islanders enjoy the others company. This can lead to some interesting situations...

Jobs are an essential part of New Day. It allows the player to earn money in order to buy furniture in the Room Editor, clothing for your islanders, and more!
Each job has their own difficulty setting. With each difficulty increase, you'll earn more money, making the "harder" difficulty choices more rewarding!

In conclusion, New Day aims to be an amazing experience that's suitable for every players gaming preference. We strive to make this an amazing game, made purely out of love and motivation.
To end this off, I'm giving a special thanks to everyone on the New Day staff team.

Complete waste of time. Absolute BUNS. There is no depth to anything, its flat, and boring as hell.
The game is rather barebones in it's current state, but by no means is it bad. It's charming, fun, and has tons of potential! Don't let the lack of content shy you away from this game, because there are many fun qualities to it. The character creator has enough to stand out on an early access game, and it's not hard to get money through fishing or the arcade. Positives: It runs really well on my computer. The face markings and makeup features are fun to use, and allow for creativity. Money is not hard to get, especially fishing with Fredollars during storms for that sweet 3x money boost. It's free! There are different species your characters can be, so they don't just have to be human. You can buy different things in the Ordinance shop to make the gameplay how you want it (but you do have to use the in-game currency, though that can be easily farmed as said above). For example you can make it so characters have relationships (friendship and romance) increase and decrease faster, you can allow... murder, allow ghosts, have characters adopt/make babies faster, etc. Characters can have many personalities and interesting interactions that differ depending on their personality. I haven't come across any glitches so far. At some point you unlock a feature called caregiver, and the little freak is very cute, in a blobby kind of way. There are black hairstyles, though not a ton. -------------- There are of course downsides, every game has them. The fishing minigame can have confusing hitboxes. It looks like the hook hit the head of the fish, yet it doesn't allow you to catch it. This isn't a big deal though. Interactions with other characters, specifically romantic ones, can be hard to create, since as far as I'm aware, you cannot force characters to interact. If you have characters that you want to fall in love, such as a ship from other media, you can't ensure it happens. This randomness might be fun for people though, and there is always the Ordinance to make it progress faster. There's not much to do other than wait and farm for money. There isn't many options to customize characters outfits either. This is excusable because it is an early access game, as well as in a genre that does require patience. This is a personal complaint, but I wish there were hijabs and other head coverings in the character creator. There currently aren't any. ----------------------------------- TLDR: Most of the gripes I have are only because the game is early in development, so they really don't matter too much. All in all, it's a fun game that has a lot of potential. I see myself playing it every so often to check up on my little guys. All in all, good job, Devs! It's a fun game.

It's meh... I played for about 10-20 minutes and then exit back out. It's bland and boring, and you have to keep grinding just to get enough currency to buy a decent outfit. And most of the outfits are limited, I understand this is an Early Access Game but this game feels completely lackluster and boring to continue playing.
Cool idea especially during the tomodachi life drought. Looks cute but feels all over the place. Mismatching ui and mini games not explained very well, especially the water maze one. Also the addition of OC NPCS kind of throws me off, I don't care for their dialogue and each one looks like it could be in a seperate game. Every time I tried to play the game not a lot was happening. Not really that fun in general. Also the fact that it says it wants to be seperate from tomodachi life despite that being its main appeal, a tomodachi substitute, sort of confusing tldr boring and directionless
its not responding no matter what i do plus game grafic ssuck
fun asf
Imagine tomodachi life living the dream but if someone cut the cancer of Nintendo's greed out. This is what you would get. 10/10 love it.
i hate my islanders but i love the game
I like it.
I’ve only got 2 hours in this game and only learnt about it’s existence today but I find it fun. As some one who wants to play tomadachi but dose not have a 3DS or LTD I find this as a good way to fill that gap. I’ve had a lot of laughs already with my friend watching my antics. It’s definitely rough around the edges but I can’t complain considering it’s made by a small team and in early access
