Neon Tail

This game is great! I remember getting this game after winning a giveaway and I'm sad that I haven't been able to put as much time in this as I wish I had. Seeing all the updates for this game make my hopeful for when this game fully releases!

Goes from 0 to Light Speed in Difficulty during the first "real" mission. Gameplay upto that point ignores mission objectives entirely; but once you cross the threshold it becomes too hard to play instantly. No Way. I know she's cute, but that's literally the only reason I didn't refund this game - protip: Don't be me. Also unlikely to receive updates at this point, and is largely unfinished.

Very good game

Amazing Game, bought it on early Accsess and it just became better

This is a great early access game with fun gameplay and a wonderful aesthetic. There's a ton to do if you want to do missions and follow the story, or just skate around and do tricks. There are definitely some bugs and there needs to be some quality of life improvements, but the devs are very open with what they're working on and talk on the discord fairly often. Highly recommend!

Neon Tail delivers a unique rollerskating experience that might be tricky to pick up at first due to the semi-realistic physics but leads to a satisfying and fun game that is worth any fan of this genre checking out. Really unfortunate. EDIT: I'll elaborate on this a little. A lot of people bought this game when it was in early access, before the AI assets were added. I do not support the use of generative AI to replace artists, and had I known this game were to do just that, I would not have bought it. That's my fault for not reading the store page first, because I assumed the devs knew better. I'm more so writing this because other people have now unknowingly supported a game that uses AI assets, and I don't think it's fair to them that they weren't ever consulted or even warned about the use of these assets before they were added (yes, I did check the changelogs for this to make sure I was being fair), and I have a feeling the only reason the disclosure is even there is because you are required by Steam's Terms of Service to put it there or your game gets taken down. In addition, some of the AI assets were made to replace already existing assets that were... perfectly fine? So this just makes the issue much more baffling to me. I was originally going to write an honest review of this game, but I can't, not after learning this. I'm just very disappointed.
