Nekofuku Shrine is a small shrine located in a corner of Akihabara. It is dedicated to 2 cats that are said to bring in good fortune and expel any misfortune.
The legend goes that 2 cats came to help the revival of the town after a huge fire burnt it down a long time ago. Although the ancient and honorable shrine has stood in a quiet side street of Akihabara for hundreds of years, its surroundings have developed, leaving it with no worshippers for many years.
One day, a very unfortunate young man came to visit the old shrine.
The 2 cat-eared girls in the appearance of shrine maidens, could not stand by and not greet their first worshipper for many years. Especially one riddled with such misfortune.
The 2 cat-eared girls start living with the young man to rid him of his misfortune, but...
It turns out that this is the start of a somewhat eventful and sexual cohabitation between the young man and the 2 cat-eared shrine maidens!

I recommend it. 7 good chapters. cute girls with some cool clothes. some answer options. a couple of hot scenes, but unfortunately everything is censored. has a gallery. the price of the game is a bit to high but in offer alright like -50%. has steam cards. all achievements work.
The translation is a mess on account of the writer not having a decent grasp of the English language. You can understand most of it, but the words can be either in the wrong form or put in the wrong order. Instead of sleeping under the covers, it says sleeping under the mattress. The mistakes continue to increase in frequency as the story progresses.
For the love of everything search engine the game name and patch! Pretty short game depending your level of reading/skipping text. Always a sucker for games with voice acting so easy recommend from me.

They say you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but I feel that for NekoMiko there is not much else you can do as what you see on the store page is really all you get. There whole story is just a cute short slice of life about 2 cat girls who are shrine maidens, and that is all there is to it. There was not much in the way of character building or any other kind of plot besides the heroines being cat girl shrine maidens. The art however is fantastic and definitely makes up for the severe lack of actual plot. I would not really recommend this if you want an actual story to read, but if you simp for cat girls like I do then you will definitely enjoy NekoMiko just simply because it is just showing off 2 cute cat girls.
NekoMiko, developed by qureate and iMel Inc. and published by qureate, is a small-scale visual novel that builds its entire appeal around character charm, lighthearted storytelling, and a relaxed slice-of-life atmosphere. It doesn’t aim to deliver a complex or emotionally heavy narrative; instead, it focuses on creating an easygoing experience where the player can spend time with a pair of endearing heroines in a slightly supernatural setting. As one of qureate’s earlier titles, it clearly establishes the studio’s preference for accessibility and character-driven design over ambitious storytelling. The premise is simple and immediately approachable. The protagonist, after a streak of misfortune, encounters a mysterious shrine and meets two cat-eared shrine maidens who quickly become central to his life. From there, the story unfolds as a series of everyday interactions mixed with light supernatural elements. Rather than building toward a dramatic climax, the narrative is structured around small moments—casual conversations, playful exchanges, and gradual relationship development. This gives the game a gentle pacing that feels consistent throughout, though it also means that the story rarely reaches significant emotional or thematic depth. Interactivity follows the traditional visual novel format. Players progress by reading dialogue and occasionally making choices that influence which character route they follow and which ending they receive. These choices are straightforward and easy to understand, but they do not drastically alter the course of the story. The branching paths provide some replay value, encouraging players to revisit the game to see alternate outcomes, though the overall structure remains largely the same across different playthroughs. For those familiar with the genre, this level of interaction will feel standard, but it may feel limited to players expecting more dynamic decision-making. The real strength of NekoMiko lies in its characters. The two main heroines are clearly the focus of the experience, each with distinct personalities that create a sense of contrast and variety in their interactions. Their dialogue carries much of the game’s appeal, blending humor, affection, and occasional moments of sincerity. While the protagonist himself is relatively understated, this allows the heroines to take center stage, shaping the tone and direction of the story. The relationships develop in a predictable but enjoyable way, making the experience feel comfortable rather than surprising. Visually, the game presents itself well within its scope. Character art is expressive, supported by subtle animations that give scenes a bit of life beyond static images. Backgrounds are colorful and consistent, contributing to the overall warmth of the setting. The presentation doesn’t push technical boundaries, but it is polished enough to create a cohesive experience. The soundtrack complements this with light, unobtrusive music that reinforces the relaxed tone without drawing too much attention to itself. However, the game does have its limitations. The narrative, while charming, lacks depth and rarely explores its supernatural elements in meaningful ways. What could have been a more layered premise is instead used primarily as a backdrop for everyday interactions. Additionally, the relatively short length of the game makes it feel more like a brief experience than a fully developed story. Once all routes have been completed, there is little incentive to return, as the content does not vary significantly beyond the different endings. Another notable issue is the quality of the English localization. At times, the dialogue can feel awkward or inconsistent, which can break immersion and reduce the impact of certain scenes. While the overall story remains understandable, these issues are noticeable enough to affect the experience, particularly for players who value strong writing in visual novels. Despite these shortcomings, NekoMiko succeeds in delivering a focused and enjoyable experience within its niche. It doesn’t attempt to be complex or groundbreaking, and its simplicity works in its favor. The game offers a comfortable, character-driven journey that is easy to engage with and easy to complete, making it well-suited for players looking for something light and relaxing. In the end, NekoMiko is a modest but appealing visual novel that prioritizes charm and accessibility over depth and ambition. It provides a pleasant experience centered on its characters, even if it lacks the narrative weight or variety to leave a lasting impression. For fans of casual, character-focused stories, it offers a satisfying and approachable entry point. Rating: 8/10
