Nostalgia
Hot Pursuit is a simple, straight to the point arcade racer. Forget everything you know about physics and real world vehicle behaviour, because this is pure arcade. There's a good amount of races to be had and at times it gets pretty intense. Tracks are varied, AI is decent, there are Cop and Racer events to play through (Racer is much harder, so best to begin as a cop before "turning rogue"). It's capped to 60 fps but it runs buttery smooth. I actually like the no nonsense approach here; there's no modding, no messing around, you click an event and after a cool little transition to chase cam, you're in the event. It took me roughly 18 hours to complete and it's a great little game for a quick dopamine hit after work when you don't really want to think. Good fun and a definite recommend for arcade racing fans.

A phenomenal game ran into the ground by an enshittified company who loves adding bloat to your PC while forcing you on an internet adventure just to use said bloat. I recently bought several NFS games including Hot Pursuit and today I wanted to play the game, and so I loaded up the game, only to find that it crashed, repeated several times yielded the same results, crash after crash, prompting me to look into the EA app to see what is going on. I had a similar issue with the app before, clearing the cache seemed to work at the time, however I tried this again twice and still no fix, so now I have no NFS game to play, can't play Burnout Paradise Remastered because of the app either. Why do we even need the EA app anyways, its more space taken up on my PC that isn't even needed, it's stupid and pointless, inflating player numbers on an app because they don't want us to play only through steam. These games are now giant paperweights, so thank you EA for making the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ app known to mankind, even the Epic Game store can do a better job than you, I hope you enjoy the money you basically robbed from me because I'm not buying anything else until the apps fixed (never happening probably)

This is my first foray into the Need for Speed world, and I'm real happy with the game I started with when it was on sale. She runs like a fricking dream on my Steam Machine, but still performed admirably on the Steam Deck. I've got the graphics detail turned up to Ultra, the engine noise revvving and I can feel the vibration through the Stream Controller. This game is so fun, especially when you're being pursued by po-po. Highly recommended!

The best Need for speed game i have ever played, but i do really want to play the first version of this not the remastered but the remastered one is really good too. Best one i have ever played - Just Play it it's really good
Got it for $3 USD. Very much worth it at that price. IDK about more tho, it's a fun old arcade racing game.
