World War I meets Painkiller
Yeah, Necrovision basically starts in the war trenches of France and then becomes a dark fantasy FPS at about halfway in the campaign. We take the role of an American soldier who joins the British army, but he soon realizes that the war between nations is irrelevant as there is a different kind of war going on. I like that there is a little bit of humour, despite the gritty atmosphere and gore. The protagonist has the badass attitude of guys like Serious Sam ( or Lo Wang ). The gameplay feels a lot like Painkiller when it comes to movement and shooting, it has that same floaty feel. The weapon selection in the first half is what you would expect from a WWI game. However to keep things interesting, the player can dual wield different combinations. For example you can dual wield a bayonet and a pistol, or dual pistols. I find the dual machine guns awesome but the recoil is kinda tough to control. Throughout the chapters there is also the possibility of using mechs, they can effortlessly blow things up.
The part where I got to ride the dragon was the most unexpected, but freaking awesome.
There's a cool mechanic called " Fury " which is based on performing combos. When performing high combos the enemies will get struck by lightning and explosions, I think it is ideal for a game where you shoot hordes of enemies. There are 3 different endings, NG+ and a chellenge mode which are good for replay value. Or you can replay the levels to find all the secrets, like you would in a typical oldschool FPS. The soundtrack is pretty good but a few more tracks would be nice.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Jul 30 → 0.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game is just terrible. Funny at first, sure, but get tedious and incredibly dull past the part where you leave the WW1 setting. Oh yeah, half of the game isn't even on earth, it's in hell for some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason, and the protagonist somehow gets even more annoying with his voice lines, enemies are boring, so on and so forth. All of this wouldn't necessarily be an issue if the game actually ran nice on modern systems, but it really doesn't. The settings are super limited, and you need a mod just to get the ability to run the game windowed. Why is this important you may ask? Simple. The game has a tendency to just ♥♥♥♥ the bed at random, completely freezing up your computer, with the only way to fix it being to restart. And in case the game does work (kinda) the chance your screen turns completely white, blurry, or just black due to an overload of sfx is really common (especially later on). Could go on and on about how terrible this game is, but to cut it short, don't waste your money on this. If you want funny bad, just go for something like Chop Goblins. It's 1 euro cheaper, and won't randomly brick your computer.
Whoever came up with that launcher at Fulqrum Publishing deserves to be locked in a gulag for life.
Es interesante. No había visto juegos así, que sean ambientados de ésta forma y que sean de éste tipo, me guta.

it was really fun to play in old days i wish it had a remake or something its sad to see its dead game.
A game that feels like it was entirely made by Uwe Boll, it's kinda fun though.
