This game is fun, spooky, and very addictive! It did take a little bit to get started. While I might not have needed a full tutorial, a bit more guidance around how to play would have been nice to start me off. (Hmm... how do I move around? Where is Fallow Fields?) Once I got going, though, I was hooked. I love the sound effects that come with the floating ghouls and the creepiness of the zombies. Co-op mode helped me get a lot of "brains" that I otherwise wouldn't have picked up so quickly. Can't wait to see more of the story as I level up.
Wait until the game is gets a major balance patch to even try this game. Edit - wish I had read the reviews before buying. Confirmed abondonware. Game is seriously unbalanced. Damage potential of the sword is about 100x any other weapon early game, and is the only AOE weapon. If you are the mage character, the default attack can kill about 1 enemy every other second (2 per 4 second attack) while enemies spawn at a rate of about 5~10 per second. The sword can kill 10~15 enemies per second. So if you don't get a sword on your first level up as a mage, just give up and start over until you do. Even maxed out lightning spell (mages default) cannot compare the the first level of the sword. Three of the weapons have zero value, and half the skills are more damaging to get than beneficial.
I wish the developers didn't abandon this game.
Devs abandoned game, not worth it.
Takes the autoshooter concept much further with systems and stories. I'm excited to see where it goes.
This game has had so much potential however its important to let others know that the game seems to have been abandoned. there has been no update via steam/discord or anything from developers since the middle of 2024. Do not purchase, the game is incomplete and buggy. it is a pity given it was very enjoyable and the world the developers were building was fun
Note to self: Maybe try again when it's released. Bosses simply suck. First boss is a ranged guy that stays far away, while you have a weapon range of nothing. At 90%hp the 2nd boss spawned cuz it took too long. Needs a lot of work before playworthy.
This is my honest review as of right now. Controls are very clunky and not smooth feeling there is no dash option which adds to the clunky feel. Game itself is mid in terms of combat not the best very repetitive feeling compared to its other counterparts. The artstyle is okay not the best either. Plenty of bugs too for example I have a nintendo switch pro controller that stays plugged in for if I feel like using a controller. You can not interact with npcs with the A button on a switch pro controller. If its on sale for 30% off or above its worth getting but as of right now its not worth paying the full price. I did and honestly regret it. But we shall see with time if it gets better.
Broken garbage
This game seems dead. Developers haven't responded to anything since the update in June. Almost 4 months later and they haven't said or done anything after that.
