This game was awesome when i was kid on my Pentium 200. This game had so much potential and still does. This is a mix of Carmageddon and Doom. But this is an extremely lazy re-release/remaster. No controller support, no wide screen support, no option menu during game play, no mouse support. Buy this game if you are into retro gaming or played the original. Would love to see a proper remake, this needs some work!
Night Dive Studios...where are you when we need you?!

I bought it as soon as it released on Steam, and I'm very disappointed to see that SNEG didn't bother to fix anything, they just threw it on Steam with zero effort. Mouse input is still completely broken outside of menus and they didn't bother adding widescreen support. SNEG should be ashamed of trying to charge $10 for this.
The publisher hasn't done a thing to modernize the game but it does function on Windows 11. I forced myself to get used to keyboard-only controls and... it feels pretty good! Game is oozing atmosphere and the car combat is pretty slick. You can drift! Terrain affects your car! Impressive little game.
this is $10 for a fun game where you fight in tanks and occasionally leave them to fight on foot, i never had it before but i wanted it, and it's a blast!! kinda like T-MEK but much much better. this is just the original game, no fancy stuff added. it just works on modern systems. not everything is a nightdive remaster so if you're a boomer who can't take off their rose-colored bifocals or if you're a zoomer who's afraid of pixels, you best take your butt elsewhere also the other reviews are complaining about "mouselook" but I watched videos of people playing THE OLD ORIGINAL game years before this release and there's no mouse look, there's mouse turning and that works fine. Maybe people are having Mandela effect or something, i dunno. if I'm wrong, please let me know below but i seriously fail to see why this game would even have mouselook at all Bottom line is if you are cool with old DOS games without any extra 4K fluff, give this a whirl! But remember you are paying $10 for the experience of this actually working in Win11 and no more
Mouse and keyboard control is a joke, vehicle won't stop spinning. I've been looking for this game for decades to play again and the moment I saw it on Steam I was stoked now I have buyer's remorse.
Necrodome is a first-person vehicular combat game produced by Raven Software and now published by SNEG. In this post-apocalyptic game, you control a car/tank with a turret and by using different weapons you shoot your way on 30 arenas where your basic goal is to retrieve a flag. Although a mostly car like vehicle, it controls like a tank. While in the turret, you can move it but lose control of the car part. Driving around in the “car” mode, the turret targets the closest target automatically. The game has little use of the mouse, mostly on the menus, but considering the nature of the game it doesn’t feel necessary, although targeting while using the turret would be easier. Works on steamOS! Classic Battlezone X Doom... Needs a wheel and throttle, but the controls are EZ.
The game is heavily bugged toward the end, and a patch before its Steam release would have been welcome! For example, some waypoints simply don’t activate, leaving you stuck and forcing you to either restart the level or cheat. Also on a level (at mid game), there's a jump you're required to make, but it’s impossible, likely due to a change in gravity settings between the beta and version 1.0 (my theory, or the dev didn't test the map). Again, you’re left with no choice but to cheat.
It looked fun, however the problem I am getting is I cant enter inside the heavy loaded vehicle no matter what key I press or which side I try. It makes the game Necrodome unplayable so I have to give it a thumbs down. For what I play the concept is unique here you use a heavy loaded vehicle with multiple weapons and drive around and then also you can get on foot. I just like I mentioned try to get inside the vehicle but it does not work which makes the game not playable for me. I wish it worked and I can further play it as the concept itself its good I just could not.
