fun little game. would be nice if there was an endless mode though

This game is amazing for what it is. It's a free necromantic spin on the survivor style genre. I love playing necromancers in everything I play so I do my best to avoid any bias' that may stem from such a topic. Disregarding the element of necromancy, this game is still fun and enjoyable. If I had to list pros and cons, it would be as follows: -pros: [*]The necromancy aspect is fun, and a refreshing twist on the genre. [*]Free. [*]Interesting upgrades for each of the 3 core undead that can be very powerful when used correctly [*]Simple gameplay loop that still manages to grab your attention (after a few runs I legitimately realized I was forgetting to blink for a while on the harder difficulties lol). -cons: [*]AI could definitely use some minor work (I found frequently that enemies would just run straight through your undead if you didn't have a horde (with one of the characters being limited on her horde size no less!) and focus down the necromancer, which can be very bad when your own individual damage scales very poorly into the late game). Undead also frequently focus enemies far away from the necromancer, thus leaving you easily vulnerable to attack and the only way to get them to focus the close ones is to recall them on a 5 second cooldown that also removes them just long enough for you to gain even more aggro than you lose. [*]The game is very unbalanced with archers being clearly superior to the other summons by miles, and ghosts being clearly inferior by almost just as much, as well as the 2 current playable characters the 2nd feels really weak to play when paired with con #1, but with an AI improvement I can see this one balancing itself out. [*]EXTREMELY bare bones, but what do you expect from a game that's free. There is only 2 playable characters, and 1 map. I would be interested in seeing some more variety and fun new characters to be added. [*]RNG seems to make or break your runs on harder difficulty it feels. Often times runs feel 100% reliant on finding max horde upgrades that spawn randomly around the map, and often times it feels like you don't ever see any and your run just ends because you don't have enough undead to keep up with the enemy scaling. [*]No endless mode. This wasn't a huge problem for me in particular, but in my opinion, this should come standard in a survivor style game so that we can really push the limits and see how far we can go on our chosen difficulty. All in all, excluding my bias, this is a fun game in which you could easily spend a day or two of enjoyment. As it stands, this game is fun but repetitive, and would fail to hold your attention for too long but what free games would? I see a game with a near endless amount of potential, but as it stands the potential has barely been tapped. If this game is continued to be developed and expanded upon I would gladly drop money on the project and have fun for countless hours, but as it stands, I feel like free is a good price for it. If you have any comments, concerns, or corrections to make to my review, do not hesitate to leave a comment here.

Good game!

the game is cool, but it is too hard. i am playing peacefully and then 10 billion guys come from nowhere, kill all my undeads, and then bully me to death, and since like nobody died, i can't revive them and DIE how
"Necro Rumble" is an unabashed, lazy ripoff of Vampire Survivors (Copyright Poncle, 2021). Many lazy "amateur" developers don't pay attention to their obligations under copyright law, and often steal the ideas of actual, real game developers without credit, such as the "developer" here has done. Putting aside the unethical intellectual, creative and moral bankruptcy of stealing someone else's game concept, this is also breaking that unwritten law of stealing other people's game ideas... you should at least try to do better than the game you're ripping off. "Necro Rumble" is considerably worse than Vampire Survivors. So this looks like an old 1990's Adobe Flash game that you might play in a web browser, and the problem there is obviously Steam wasn't intended to try compete with Chrome and Firefox. If it can be done in a web browser, it's not even close to a cutting edge PC gaming experience. That's a problem. The gameplay itself is pathetically derivative... enough to make you lose all hope in humanity, really. I guess in fairness there's one mechanism that's almost appealing in that amongst the Vampire Survivors ripoff abilities is a reanimation one... that's seriously the only differentiator (besides somehow looking even worse than Vampire Survivors). The graphics here are particularly awful, so bad that it actually stands out as one of the worst looking games on Steam. Quite an accomplishment. It's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms to create infinite, samey, repetitive, soulless levels, because that's a lot less work. As a result of this poor decision, the game gets tired and repetitive almost immediately. Developers must learn that procgen is a terrible substitute for creating real content. It should not be used as "ez-mode" for content creation, as the developer tried to do here. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's well over 130 million gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at less than 100 concurrent players, they couldn't even break three figures, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? I think you should give this one a miss. Although it's free, your time and storage are valuable resources, and the market is filled with superior options.
This game not made for player to finish the game. cuz from early the level is impossible to survive until 20 minute.
