"...and a happy little homicidal robot...right there." You're a virus inside a cute-but-evil robot hivemind, blast everything in sight to infect and destroy it! The entire game takes place in a small square area,as you fight waves of baddies. The battlefield is actually really cool,as it's made of panels that shift every round,so the arena is always changing. There are a few different types of guns, they don't use ammo, but do overheat. Rather than bullets, you shoot orbs at various speeds. Your gun has no scope and sort of bounces a lot,but is more or less fine. As for powerups, there are grenades you can find, as well as health-ups and glitch-ups. There are 3 enemy types I've encountered, all cute little cubes with legs: Small:Average speed/dmg. Large: Slow,HEAVY dmg. Tiny: Fast, low dmg. [There may be more types past lv10,I don't know.] The baddies spawn seemingly randomly all over the map [sometimes right next to you]. As you damage them, their expressions change, and their speed goes up. Instead of attacking, the enemies DETONATE when close to you,or destroyed...you can use this to your advantage,by either sprinting past them and making them self destruct,or destroying them in groups using each-others explosions. The enemies pursue you constantly, which you can use to lure them off of ledges. You have three levels of "sprint" which charge as you blow things up,if you let it charge all the way it becomes your ultimate attack "Glitch"...this freezes all enemies on screen and damages them, while also speeding you up. Rather than shoot the baddies while frozen [which does nothing] you're supposed to run into them and explode em,instead of damaging you,it heals you instead. The downside of this, is any enemies you miss will be very mad,and come for your butt in a hurry. Also,sprint/glitch share a meter,so if you have glitch ready, but just need to sprint, you have to glitch. When you get wiped out,a patronizing voice sasses you,and it's back to lv1. No saves. The game has a high energy soundtrack that keeps you hyped as you get owned. As I'm writing this,I haven't won the game, can't get past lv10...I'm sure the key to winning is just intelligent use of your sprint/glitch, I simply haven't been able to do it. Even though I suck,I've had a lot of fun shooting these annoying little dudes! This isn't a groundbreaking FPS,but it's perfect if ya just wanna blast some bots for a bit.
뭐하는 게임인지 모르겠는건 둘째치고 발판떨어지는거 존나선넘네
[h1]Before I played Naught Bots, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good[/h1]
I know 12 min Playtime ain t alot but its enough to want to write one of these. I get bored really quick and ddefenetly own games ive played once or twice and then forgot about and this time I feel like thats half of the planning for the game. These little Gems are perfect for boredom and deserve alot of Love I could not care less about People who see this Game then think its gonna be some AAA super Game just for it to be its one funny thing then get mad and write 18 pages of just how mad. I love thephysics its fast past quick rounds all in all simple Game shooting stuuf with physics affected balls is a nice change it has quite a difficulty wich makes it entertaining nice would be a section where you can see the controls, tho gotta say I really enjoyed finding out and how the sprint works its more of a dash and is basicly an emergency button so the thing a sprint should always be. Being a skilled based Game it may have me and others rage but not cause of a cracked out unemployed dude but because a white little robot snug up on you. Its really just a big win-win if you die cause 1 you got better and 2 your back in the game so quickly if someone skipped 5 seconds in the recording they wouldn t know you even died. All in all a great game. ev go make more master pieces. Imma go kill those spider bombs of creatures now :3
"Naught Bots" is a very badly made Unreal wave survival shooter... the developer just took some minimalist 3D models and dumped them on a very basic Unreal first person shooter game blueprint. Little to no effort went into polishing, optimisation, or making an actual game out of this mess. This really comes across as a "minimum viable product", it's hard to believe the developer didn't know other games exist (and almost all of them are better than this) before publishing this through Steam Direct. What do you do in the game? Just wave survival shooting, but really bad. You shoot red balls at the little robot things. None of this makes any sense. The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's less than a little blip on the radar isn't offering anything truly valuable to gamers. The graphics aren't great, minimalist backgrounds and some really lazy minimum effort 3d models. That's understandably a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
