🌱 NATURE AT ITS FINEST 🌱
Nature Escapes is my favorite series by Tiny Little Lion game studio. The scenes showcase nature at its finest with a vast array of Flora and Fauna. I particularly enjoy the fact that, for the most part, the items to find are nature-related; most of the time, items that don't fit under the "flora & fauna" category are usually decorated in a natural way, such as topiaries or pictures etched into cliffs, caverns, and caves. Nature Escapes 5 has some brand new features over its predecessors...all of which are designed to help you find your Zen ☯️ as you enjoy the beauty and serenity of nature.
🌱Did You Hear That?
Sometimes, you have to hear the sounds of nature to appreciate its beauty, so a few new options have been added. The Ambient setting simply plays ambient sounds quietly in the background. In the Zen setting, you are immersed in the atmospheric sounds of nature combined with calming music. The Casual setting simply plays a variety of relaxing music soundtracks.
🌱 From Ardous To Zen
You can't have an ambient sound option without being able to choose how difficult or zen the gameplay is, so they have added a Relaxed Mode of difficulty. The Relaxed Mode has no Combo Meter Timer, and the Skip and Hint features recharge very quickly. If you prefer, the Challenge Mode will keep you on your toes with a Combo Meter Timer and a slow Hint and Skip feature.
🌱 I Like Your Style!
Everyone has different tastes when it comes to Hidden Object Games, which is why they have added a few different HO variants. You can switch between standard Listed Items, Scrambled Letters, Picture Mode, and/or Silhouetted Shapes. Actually, there are also "Spot The Difference" scenes as well, but those are considered to be sub-games.
🌱 A Kodak Moment
Each main Hidden Object Scene has a Hidden Flower Photo to collect. Found Photos are converted to Coins, which can be used to purchase various plants and flowers in the "My Garden" section. Once purchased, you can place the flowers on the display deck however you like; you can even select plants in multiples.
🌱 There's Something Shifty Going On Here
Each Hidden Object Scene (main and zoom zone subscene) has at least one Shapeshifting Morphing Object. Some of the Morphs can be challenging to spot because they morph at a fairly slow rate. Found Morphing Objects are converted to Flowers you can plant in the wildlife in the "Nature Album" section. Each flower planted is equal to three puzzle pieces, in which you drag pieces to the correct square to complete the flower's image.
🌱 What's That All About?
There are 18 scene locations (+6 CE Bonus Locations). Each location has a main Hidden Object Scene with a smaller zoom zone subscene. After completing the main HO scene, you'll play either a side-by-side Spot The Difference game or a Hidden Object Scene across two different side-by-side images. Depending on your Combo Meter score, you can earn up to three stars. One item in every main HO scene prompts an in-game puzzle related to that particular object. The games vary each time, with sorting-type puzzles, swap-and-rotate puzzles, Tetris-shape placement puzzles, untangling tangled vines, memory matches, pair matching, etc. One of my favorites was a game where you had to place rocks with various lined patterns that aligned with the cracks in the surrounding dirt.
🌱Do you Want To Play A Game?
After completing the HO scenes, you will play a mini-game or puzzle. Every puzzle is unique, and some were quite challenging, especially the heavily detailed images that required you to swap and rotate a variety of shapes within the picture.
🌱More Bang For Your Buck-Collector's Edition Extras
18 Main Scene Levels, +6 CE Bonus Levels, 24 Wallpapers, 20 Plants to purchase/display (My Garden section), 10 CE Plants +5 Dev Plants Plants, 15 Music Soundtracks, 72 Shapeshifting Morphs, 24 Flower Puzzles (Nature Album section), 24 Location Trivia Fun Facts, 24 Native Flower Fun Facts, 5 Paint By Numbers puzzles (Nature Badge section-after completing the game) See my Screenshots HERE

MY REVIEWS
Click HERE for more Reviews by Pennmom36 Click HERE to check out our Steam Group

JOIN OUR FORUM
Click HERE to check out The Woods Forum

This HOG is worth playing because of the beautiful scenery and a few of extra side-activities. Disclaimer: Since I already reviewed the previous entry, and this one brings the same style of content with small additions, the review doesn’t change that much. When it comes to hidden object games, the gameplay is really standard. You need to locate items on two different scenes by going through the list. The difficulty is casual from the start because the game indicates on which scene the item is located by highlighting it in white, and there is no penalty for hasty clicking. However, you must still be quick in order to obtain the golden star. This isn't that difficult if you memorize the placement of the objects and hit them quickly to increase the multiplier. Although the scenes are filled with random objects, the unpredictability is thrown out the window because they will be located in the same location each time you play. You'll have no issue getting the golden star if you repeat it a few times. The game has 18 distinct locations that can be played in any order. The new addition is that you can place the scene in four different styles. You can go with the classic mode with a list of objects, images, or silhouettes. Aside from the main HOG scene, each location also has two mini games in which you have to identify differences, solve puzzles, or do something similar. Some scenes allow you to zoom in, but others do not. Since differences are very small, it’s very hard to see them in. Bonuses and side-activities enhance the game. Most are very typical; you can listen to music, browse wallpapers, and read interesting information about flowers. However, two of them, albeit simple, are linked to scenes in the main game. Each scene has one picture and three morphing objects that are very easy to find. The picture gives you coins that can be used to buy flowers in the garden. The selection is decent, but it's really limited because you can't arrange the flowers the way you want. Morphing objects are used in the album. There you can find various images with missing pieces that you can purchase with morphing objects. When the image is finished, you can use it as a wallpaper. Another extra mode unlocks once you beat all scenes. Here you need to paint an image by clicking on numbers with colors and coloring marked spots.
What a fun game. The scenes are beautiful. The hidden objects are well-hidden, often hard to find, and yet totally fair. Each adventure location also includes multiple morphing objects, which are also subtle and challenging to spot. One of my favorite aspects of this game are the many mini-games included in it, including as part of the hidden object scenes themselves. The mini-games are quite varied, ranging from string disentangling, to spot the difference, to jigsaws, connect the objects, and many others. One of my favorites of these, and also one of the most challenging, are several varieties of rotating portions of images to complete one or more pictures. This sounds way simpler than it is in practice and the developers have done a great job of making this both fun and more difficult than in many other games. User option to play in either timed mode or relaxed mode (wimp that I am, I've chosen relaxed, which gives me time to enjoy the beauty of the images and searching for everything without resorting to the Hint button....did I mention that many of the objects were really WELL-hidden??). All in all, great value for the money. It took me about 9 hours to get through the main part of the game (18 locations, 2 HO scenes in each + added challenge phases & multiple mini-games in each) and I'm still working on the bonus chapters (adding 6 more locations). I received this game for free as part of a giveaway at a gaming forum I belong to and have been very pleasantly surprised at how much fun it is.
