Reviews
No es de los mejores. El salto de perspectiva entre personajes es forzado e innecesario. Hay demasiado diálogo y eso hace que la experiencia sea un poco vaga, aunque se pone mejor hacia el final.
Love the theme of this game, graphics have declined wasn't a big fan of it compared to other nancy drews!
Storyline is good, I dislike the new controls and not being able to check things off your to do list yourself. The notebook you usually have is not there also, and no Bess is present. I feel like they dropped alot of OG stuff. I know changes are going to happen, the main this is the controls, they make the game a slog.

This was honestly the worst Nancy Drew game i have ever played, would not recommend
it is fun
Great story. Great characters. Good mix of mystery and history. Controls from hell. Awful 3D environment. Horribly linear. Endless repetitive dialogue. Precisely two rage-quit worthy puzzles.
True nonsense motive from the villain.
Очень люблю Нэнси Дрю , но эта часть слабовата мало загадок и много болтовни . Но поиграть стоит что бы понять что нет ничего старых частей Нэнси
I love Nancy Drew games, i have been playing them since i was a kid and always played when a new one came out, but this game is horrible. The new navigation system is unusable, the characters and animations are atrocious. The interactions with the dialog even are bad. I am refunding this game . i cant play it. The newer game is actually much better. this was just a very bad nancy drew game. I recommend skipping it.
Developed and published by HeR Interactive, Nancy Drew: Midnight in Salem represents a major turning point for the long-running mystery adventure franchise. Built on a new engine with redesigned visuals, updated controls, and a fresh presentation style, the game attempts to modernize the classic detective formula while preserving the investigative gameplay that fans have enjoyed for years. Set in the famous town of Salem, Massachusetts, the story revolves around an arson case involving Mei Parry, who quickly becomes the prime suspect after a historic mansion is set ablaze. Nancy Drew arrives to uncover the truth, only to find herself entangled in a web of family rivalries, hidden agendas, and centuries-old legends connected to the infamous Salem witch trials. The game's strongest feature is its storytelling. Rather than relying solely on supernatural scares, the narrative skillfully mixes historical events with fictional mysteries, encouraging players to separate rumor from reality. As Nancy interviews local residents, researches old documents, and follows an expanding trail of clues, the investigation becomes increasingly layered. Every suspect has believable motivations and personal secrets, making it difficult to determine who can truly be trusted. The gradual pacing allows the mystery to unfold naturally, rewarding careful observation and logical thinking instead of rushing players toward the conclusion. Exploration plays a larger role than ever thanks to the transition to fully navigable 3D environments. Players can examine historical landmarks, private residences, museums, and other carefully designed locations throughout Salem while searching for evidence. Conversations are more detailed than in many previous Nancy Drew games, with dialogue choices revealing additional information about characters and the town's complicated history. Collecting clues, reviewing evidence, and revisiting locations all contribute to solving the central mystery, giving players the satisfying feeling of conducting a genuine detective investigation. Puzzle design remains an essential part of the experience. Players encounter logic challenges, environmental puzzles, coded messages, historical research tasks, and inventory-based problems that require close attention to detail. The inclusion of both Junior and Senior Detective difficulty settings makes the game approachable for newcomers while still offering experienced players a more demanding investigation. Although some longtime fans may find the puzzles slightly less intricate than those found in earlier installments, they remain well integrated into the narrative and rarely feel disconnected from the overall mystery. The atmospheric presentation successfully captures the unique character of Salem. Historic buildings, dimly lit interiors, quiet streets, and references to local folklore create a setting filled with tension and curiosity. The soundtrack complements the investigation with subtle musical themes that emphasize mystery without overwhelming the player, while ambient environmental effects strengthen the sense of immersion. Voice performances generally suit the cast, though longtime followers of the series may notice the transition to a new voice actress for Nancy, marking a significant change after decades of consistency. While the visual overhaul is ambitious, it also introduces some noticeable shortcomings. Character animations occasionally appear stiff, facial expressions lack emotional depth, and certain technical issues can interrupt the otherwise immersive experience. Navigation and camera controls sometimes feel less refined than expected, particularly when compared to the smoother presentation of earlier games. The investigation also includes several lengthy conversations and repeated trips between locations, which can slow the pacing during the middle portions of the adventure. One of the game's most appealing qualities is its educational value. The story incorporates genuine elements of Salem's history, including references to the witch trials, colonial architecture, and local traditions. Instead of presenting historical facts as simple background information, the game weaves them directly into puzzles, dialogue, and the central mystery, making the learning experience feel meaningful and engaging. This combination of entertainment and historical curiosity has long been one of the Nancy Drew series' defining strengths, and Midnight in Salem continues that tradition effectively. Although the transition to a modern presentation is not flawless, Nancy Drew: Midnight in Salem ultimately succeeds by delivering an engaging detective adventure built around an intriguing mystery, memorable characters, and a richly realized historical setting. Players willing to overlook its technical imperfections will discover a thoughtful investigation that emphasizes observation, deduction, and storytelling over action. It may not surpass the strongest entries in the franchise, but it remains a worthwhile experience for mystery fans and an encouraging step forward for the series as it embraces a new generation of technology. Rating: 6/10
Wow, this game was a letdown. It has good bones, but they are buried under a mound of typos, obvious default assets that look like they were meant to be replaced later, confusing navigation, and bad puzzles (one of which was so finicky that I found it unsolvable on Senior Mode, despite understanding the result I was trying to get). Get it only if you are a diehard Nancy Drew fan, like I am.
