God I wish that was me. I also would've super-recommended this game, if it was possible. - Whenever I was asked what I "want to become" when grown/finished/-, I didn't have really have an answer. My whole life I've always just said that I don't want to "become" anything; I just want to exist and 'be left in peace'. NAIAD manages to communicate everything I've been feeling into one concept. This is one of my favourite games to exist; not based on usual values such as 'gameplay loop', 'fun', 'design', 'music', etc, but the whole general vibe it gently radiates. I feel as if this game represents a huge part of my core identity, and I feel honored and relieved to finally have a reference point to better describe and express myself. I might never be able to fully express how much - or why - I see myself in this game.. But now I have an answer to what I 'want to become'... I just wish to be NAIAD. -
In my opinion, a bit too long. I think I would have enjoyed this a lot more if it was (spoiler for game length)
8 episodes
instead of
16
. Beautiful game that I'm really glad I waited for. I see myself coming back to this down the line, and all-achievements seems plausible.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's certainly a unique game. The art style is truly original, in that it reminds me of a children's book come to life. The music is simple, but very effective in making you feel what the developers intended. My problem with the game is that there's a lot of "guess what the developer is thinking" going on. You only have 1 mechanic, your singing, but it's often a guessing game of "What do I go up to and sing to advance to the next level?" Most of the time it's clear, but not always. On 3 separate occasions I had to look up a Youtube walkthrough only to find that there was a glitch where an NPC was supposed to spawn but didn't. Other times there is no logic to it; like why does my singing make vines grow and those vines break rocks, but other times my singing barely makes a tree branch grow at all? Add to that that the story is a bit muffled and confused. It throws in some environmentalist angle it never really resolves, it just abandons it. It's a simple and cute story of a mermaid who is guided by a sentient storm cloud down a river, only for the storm cloud to sacrifice itself to douse a forest fire, and in the end the mermaid ascends to some celestial realm where she is transformed into a cloud too, presumably to guide the next mermaid. Neat and original. But for all the game lays on the "humans bad, humans pollute" it really doesn't go anywhere with it. Ok, humans pollute. Do we clean up the river? Do we learn anything besides "humans bad, nature good?" Just seems tacked on, like it's a message that goes nowhere. In the end the game is good, especially given that it was made by 1 person and didn't break the bank. I would still recommend if you want something unique, but that recommendation would come much easier if the devs would patch the glitches that prevent progress. Very frustrating to have to reboot a game because of glitches. It's a true indie game through and through so if you're tired of AAA slop, look no further.
10/10 journey, would never escape Samsara.
A cute and chill cozy game that reminds us to protect and care for nature. The art is simple and colourful, some of the music is actually pretty good, and there are a few simple puzzles. It did seem to drag on a bit, I think it could have done with a few less chapters, but I still enjoyed it, especially the last few chapters which were visually stunning! So beautiful to play through.
It's a beautiful, very chill game with a bit of story as a lovely bonus. I got it in a Bundle and I'm honestly very happy that I did. It's not too difficult but there are certain levels where you do have to stop to think what to do, it's also the kind of game that rewards the players that love exploring every single nook and cranny of a space. Achievements were not too difficult to get, it feels very streamlined (except for two hidden ones that I had to look up but they weren't difficult to accomplish, maybe a little tedious.) I loved the experience, in awe that it was made by one person? I'd kiss your brain if I could. Thank you for creating this amazing game<3
A gem of a game that leaves a lasting impression. 10 Mermaids/10
