Experienced on the Meta Quest 2
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/tcc5KWt6wj0 Given the budget price, especially on release for less than $2 USD, this is an easy recommendation. Is it a great dragon flying experience? Of course not. However, it's a competent one, especially if you use a gamepad over trying to use motion controllers to control the dragon. There are 3 maps to choose from. You do have somewhat realistic gliding physics. It can be challenging to control the dragon and fly through the hoops. You have to fly through the hoops to maintain momentum and fly longer. The longer you fly, the higher you'll go up those leaderboards for bragging rights. Game is running on the Unreal Engine 4. On my RTX 3080, I was getting mostly 90 fps. There were no settings whatsoever. You can use motion controllers (as a gamepad), a gamepad (tested on Xbox One), or KBM. I think I got my money's worth. It looks nice. I think the world could have used some more animations, such as trees swaying, the water running, and maybe some other signs of life. It is a very much static world. The music is nice enough. Again, this is budget priced. If you have low expectations, then this game may surpass those expectations. 👑 Powered by HoI 4 Deu Curators group in German / English 👑

Follow Main group
Follow Second group
English: --------------------------------------------> Mythlands: Dragon Flight VR by rainstory.games is, as the name suggests, a dragon flight simulator. Up front: the game runs on the Index and also on the Vive, but it only offers Oculuscontroller control. All other HMDs have to play with either keyboard and mouse or a regular gamepad. So I grabbed the X-Box controller and took a look at the three scenarios. We can fly through a circuit of magic rings with three different colored dragons in three different colored areas. The graphics are adequate, the landscapes look realistic if very dull. The controls are unfortunately beyond good and evil. At least the gamepad control. Controlled flying was not possible with unfortunately. The dragon either crashed into a rock or we rammed into the ground without being able to pull up fast enough. This may be because I don't have that much experience with kite flying. Possibly the controls are a dream with other input devices, but I doubt it. The flights with the pangolins made me a bit nauseous, even though I've been playing in VR for a long time. I think players with sensitive stomachs, empty right on the back of their flying animal. 👀Ramming Dragons into the Ground🎊 on my curator page. 👑 Powered by HoI 4 Deu Curators group in German / English 👑

Follow Main group
Follow Second group
Crashed living breathing being into side of mountain. It sounded annoyed with me as it happened. 10/10 If you can't fly well immediately stick with it, you'll have a moment where it clicks and you can't even remember what you were doing wrong, then you'll remember... but eventually you'll get it.
Pretty looking, pretty bad controls
It is visually cool in VR. But flight controls are keyboard WADS (or maybe mouse/game pad?)... not VR controllers. I wish we could map WADS to VR controller, or that the dev would fix it. Please let me know if there is a fix. 🔥►Meet people FLYING now (in group CHAT link below) 💬►Initially voted in ' Games we are curious to TEST ' 🏆►VR Giveaways and CHAT 🏆 https://steamcommunity.com/groups/JoinUsInVR
Video of my first dip into the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fc2Hl0UJJGE This... is an odd one. There's nothing to dislike about this, what is there is actually rather well done (although, dev, please add some settings for music volume, and a nice way to exit the game, please?), except... there's not much there. This is where the price comes in. It's £2.09. Would I pay £2.09 for what I experienced in my first dip into this? Actually, yeah, yeah I would. Not everything I do in VR has to be a full game with complex gameplay and a story and stuff; some things are enjoyable just for them being an experience in VR. This fits that bill. But it's also kind of frustrating too because it feels like there's the core of a really neat game here. I don't know what the game is, I don't know what it would contain, but yikes would this be all shades of fun as a full game where you fly around on a dragon and do... stuff. Even at a simple level: the control scheme is a frustrating letdown. Give me some arms, give me some reins to hold and pull on, let me really feel like I'm controlling the huge beast below me and this would be 100 times better. As it is you fly with the little joystick on your controller which is about as un-VR as you could get short of forcing you to use a game controller. This has so much potential to be developed into something really fun. I hope that happens. Do I recommend it? Actually yes, cautiously. If you don't mind paying the price of a coffee for a VR experience that'll last you as long as that coffee would, but likely no longer... yeah, go on, grab it and spend 30 minutes having some fun. If the price had been any more this would have been a big no.
Very fun, has a lot of potential, only wish there were VR controls
I honestly had low expectations, but was quickly surprised by how breathtaking this game is
The controls took a while to adjust to, but overall I experienced no lag or choppy game play. The maps are also visually stunning. The price is also very very cheap. 6.5/10
for its price it is a good vr game. tho i must say that i can take extreme roller coasters, teleport around skyrim like tracer (overwatch) high on "medicine" all with no discomfort at all. but about 10 min of this game was starting to make me motion sick overall 7/10
👍
