While this game was very good including no backtracking and actually fun HOPs for once, it did crash permanently near the end during the final battle with the ghost lady and I cannot restart it no matter. Great graphics and pretty good game otherwise though.
A good point n click adventure, fun and entertaining
Game was too short. I'ved been playing Mystery case files for years now but this is the shortest game from the franchise!

A man is missing and we have to gather clues, talk to the locals, and complete elaborate puzzles in order to rescue all the missing persons. Some tough challenges in here, but overall a fun game. Checkout my gameplay here: https://youtu.be/6Tglk_hryX8 Thanks!
I honestly liked this game right from the start. About ten minutes in, however, those redundant tasks start to creep up and they become so ridiculous that all I can imagine is that they were put in place to make the game a decent length. An example: It doesn't make sense that I need a carpenter's hammer to bust up some ice when I already have a hammer in my inventory. All I'm gonna do is destroy something. If they want to make the tool relative to the task then shouldn't the task be relative to the tool??? Unfortunately, the story got worse, not better. The characters were dreadful. Again, the tasks were cumbersome. Many of the puzzles would have taken too long to have been worth while. If everything else had been spot on then I wouldn't have cared that the puzzle was going to take some time to complete but to spare 30 minutes just to discover I need a tile saw when I already have a saw, made me shut the game off without a second thought. I felt like there was a major component missing from this entire game. The story, the characters, the tasks..... I can't put my finger on it and there really wasn't one thing about it that would entice me to recommend this game even to die-hard HOG fans, discounted or not. Sorry.
This game doesn't work on my full screen despite that option being checked off. It plays on less than a quarter of my screen. I want my money back. The game is unplayable. I am using a 2020 MacBook Pro, it should work.
The voice acting is terrible but I don't pay attention to the story, just the puzzles. Some are too easy but then there are some that are quite tricky. The game is too short for the full price, but if you can get it on sale then I recommend to buy it.
Fun game, about 3 hours long, and no Extra game. Still, fun, good puzzles, not a bad storyline. Enjoyable HOG.
I clicked the like button cos I like HO games. But this is no where near as good as the older MCF games used to be. No where near as long either. Glad I brought it on sale or I would be really cheesed off paying full price.
