Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst Unlocked Collector's Edition

Would not recommend this game at all at any price and the reason is I progressed very far and maybe solved a puzzle before collecting an item, I'm not positive on the circumstance, but the item I needed to progress disappeared. The magnifying glass pointer would show but would not zoom in or interact so the only solution was to quit.

Love this game.. very indepth story

I must say not my most beloved part of the MCF series and the least liked in the reavenhearst series. The game is not bad but i just dont like Alister Dalimar as a character. The minigames and HOS´s are good but i dont really like the story. I sadly cant really recommend this game

This was a very anticlimactic way to end the Ravenhearst series. Though I wasn't much for the story, this ending seemed so bland and overall silly for the long, drawn out story. I was actually BEYOND ecstatic at the beginning of this game, but I quickly lost interest the further along I got- not even the bonus game could relight that fire. Don't get me wrong; the graphics were good/okay, the puzzles were fine (although wonky) but the story did let me down a bit. I'd personally give it a 4/10 in the end.

So, I really enjoy hidden object games, and the Mystery Case Files ones were the epitome of the genre for me for so long. However, this episode has a completely broken puzzle (it involves making a key and even the Big Fish forums just come up with using hints again and again until the puzzle solves itself, because the game leads you in the wrong direction) and several puzzle boxes that are completely unintuitive rather than the older games where they had a strong internal logic.

My original review gave a thumbs down. I don't know why. I thought this was one of the best games of the genre that I've played. The stereotyping of how mentally ill people act was really disgusting in the beginning, but that was short-lived. The puzzles were overall great (though there was a defect in one in the Bonus Chapter). It had lots of things to find. It had an actual story.

A little cheesy but WAY better than the previous game.

Like with most things that go on for too long, they kind of lost the plot on this one. However, Still fun to play. 7-10
