1 token = 1 letter spoken

Customization is super important in MyRobot and everything you change about your robot is done in an intricate manner; you cut hair with scissors, color eyelashes with pens, and change hairstyles with hair combs. Want your robot to have fangs? Use the dental tool!🦷👃👀👄

For me, MyRobot is an interesting gem of a sandbox. I won't deny, the game has it's quirks and bugs, sometimes seems to require reloads due to mechanics breaking, like grappling hook often not firing mid air, or companions after falling down not being able to stand up. The AutoWizard for self-hosting AI seems to also to work for chatting, with fairly low GPU requirement, but the installation for TTS seems to be failing for me at this moment. But, while the game mechanics still needs polish, the narration, exploration and interaction with and between the AI companions are quite interesting. Give your AI companion a bit of sarcasm and you might find yourself listening to cooking lessons while riding on your companion's back, being roasted by the sun in the middle of the desert. Definitely a game worth experiencing.
MyRobot is a great game if you enjoy adventure, puzzles, and light “programming” through AI to create your own robot companion. You can build your favorite robot using presets, or download custom ones from the Workshop, which adds a lot of variety. One thing I really like is the progression system—you can find blueprints to improve your robot, and the game actually challenges you to figure out how to use your robot effectively. Some tasks require timing or indirect control, which makes it more than just a simple sandbox and adds a nice layer of problem-solving. The robots themselves are one of the highlights. They come with their own personalities and voices, and you can edit these through the computer at your workstation. This already feels pretty deep, and it’s easy to imagine how future updates could expand customization even more. That said, the game definitely still feels like early access. It’s clear the developers are actively working on it, with regular updates adding features, improvements, and fixes. That’s a good sign, but right now it still has some rough edges. One of the biggest concerns is the token system for AI interactions. The game gives you tokens to talk with your robots, and that can feel limiting at times. However, there is a workaround: you can use self-hosting instead. The built-in wizard makes this surprisingly easy to set up, allowing you to use AI without worrying about tokens at all. The developer has also stated that major updates will provide more tokens, which helps ease the issue. Another strong point is performance—having multiple robots on screen at once, all with different personalities, doesn’t seem to slow things down too much, which is impressive considering the AI systems involved. If you’re not big on chatting with AI, the game still works well as a standard adventure/sandbox experience. You can focus on quests and puzzles, and many quest interactions use preset dialogue options, so you don’t always have to rely on the AI system. Overall, MyRobot is a fun and creative experience with a lot of potential. It’s already enjoyable in its current state, and I’m especially looking forward to future updates. It’s been hinted that there could be a dating system or expanded social features with robots, which could add even more depth to the game.

СЛЫШ ПЛАТИ!!!
The game is unstable on Linux due to the compatibility layer (Proton/Wine) but I did get it to work eventually. I made three Robots in the sandbox, changed their personalities to Richard Hammond, Jeremy Clarkson and James May. It was funny, expecially when they started arguing. I tried to get the Patron version to work before picking this up during the Steam Summer Sales and because I use Linux, it was very difficult getting the API Keys from either ChatGPT or Gemini to work with MyRobot to host my own LLM, I even tried to use my own local LLM Dolphin or LLaMa but no luck with the Patron version. It's a decent game to play on to just kill some time. I already have AI2U:With You Till The End which I had for a while so I didn't need to get the bundle.
I have waited this game so long, but sigh.. so annoying the AI decides to do something stupid or me getting completely stuck. I have lost my count how many times I had to restart the game. Please add unstuck button. Also, save button not working..
it needs time, my local 8b model with ollama.cpp could work on the beta but now since the open ai api option has changed it doesn't, (update the devs noticed!)
I like the concept very much. Been backing this game and following its development for quite some time now. Know what you're buying: currently, this is a waifu sim first, and an exploration sim second. At the moment this is probably the only game in its genre, and it's a huge WIP at that - so I think it's too hasty to form a strong opinion yet when there's still so much to go. But so far, I've genuinely really enjoyed how it's coming along. I don't think I've ever played anything with this level of dynamic interaction. Being able to customize tools, hairstyles, clothes and cosmetics as well as custom-tailor your robots' personalities is a very fresh and ambitious idea that I think doesn't get enough credit where it's due. You can give crazy commands and your clanker wife will actually go through with it - you ever see a robot girl emote then throw hands with another robot girl and snatch her weave? Well, believe it, hoss. It's all in here. The core gameplay is simple enough, movement is highly responsive, and the robot girls are indeed very cute. That being said, this game is very far from being finished and I agree with the sentiment that it should be labeled as early access. If this game's roadmap was an ocean, I'd say we've barely filled a teaspoon so far. But if that's okay with you, then you should definitely come give it a shot and maybe even get a little too attached while you're at it (psst we all know why you're here. There's no shame in being THAT kind of target demographic. Come get your fix dude. You know you want to.)
Devs are responsive and continue to improve the game Up to now, I enjoy the game
