[Update] Several months later and no updates of any kind (to my knowledge.) So I'm just gonna go ahead and presume that the game has been abandoned. What a shame. [Original] I'm gonna recommend this game simply because I like the idea behind it and would like to see it continue being worked on. I can see the potential but it need a lot of work still. However, do keep the following in mind: -There's no nudity. The most you'll get is a nipple slip and a "over the shoulder boulder holder" shot. -The grammar is all over the place. For being a game that's supposed to teach you japanese, both the japanese spelling and english spelling is broken. -There is nothing to unlock in the gallery. That being a common thing in other VN games, what you see is what you get. I will recommend the game for now, but if there's no updates in the following months, I'm gonna have to switch it to Not Recommend due to how half-bummed it feels right now.

I rarely write reviews basically and it's still an early access game. Well, you don't expect much from a game for $3... but, in general, I liked the idea of a game itself. I really hope that it won't be abandoned and that it will be developed further. This game is a kind a mixture of a learning app containing spelling, word checking and simple phrases, with an erotic visual novel. You just follow the lessons and the teachers shows you something interesting while teaching you - that is the core. You won't learn all of the Japanese language in half an hour, and you won't see hentai porn as you might expect. But I liked the voice acting, the picture, the idea of Skype lessons. So, will be expecting the development of this game into something bigger. Arigatou gozaimasu!

I was looking for a game not a spelling bee.... I have dyslexia and the numerous amount of spelling just killed the experience for me. The rest of the content was great hearing how to pronounce the words and use them correctly that was enjoyable.

I'm pleasantly surprised with this game. It looks like realistic japanese language classes, where can learn very basic but useful information. I was a little worried at first by the lack of kanji, but after playing some more I found out that they are introduced in lesson 6. There are also some complementary material in the gallery section. Besides, Izumi sensei is cute. There is no hentai content, is more like soft ecchi, but overall it's a great product and you can see that a lot of effort and care has been put into it. There are some spelling errors that should be fixed, but the game is very cheap, so even at full price is a steal, go and buy it!

Bland and abandoned.

Voice and sounds 7 out of 10, language learning 9 out of 10, sex content 6 out of 10. Summary. Overall, I was surprised to find something with real learning any language on Steam at all. Double surprised to see a real japanese! If you thought this was simple hentai, gomennasai gakusei, I have bed news for you. If you are looking for a sexy sensei to get the basics and have fun - good news everyone, it is it... Overall, in compareson with hundreds of other fap-neko-waifu-games, I gave this one a chance, and I don’t regret anything.
