KOSTENLOS
"Mya of the Desert" ist ein kostenloser Third-Person Puzzle-Plattformer. So. First thing first, if you only wants to play super polished games with 0 bug and can't laugh about falling under or above a map, don't play this game. If you want to spice to your life by adding all that and laugh about it, I'll tell you how to get out of those bugs to make your time enjoyable rather than frustrating. I personally liked the game, even though for some weird reason the achievements are bugged and began to unlock AFTER I finished the game once, I pressed continue because I forgot to screenshot the last boss and suddenly the game decided that this specific time I fell in the goo and died was the right moment to unlock the achievement. I went through another time and eventually unlocked them all. Weird but whatever. It's really only a small exploration game with 4 temples to visit, but the way it's not polished allows you to go through cracks on the for example, or using your power to float your way out and look at the map or move around and fall on another crack.. And get stuck because you forgot to take your rock with you. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2451411837 Or you'll use the mechanic and the mechanic will fail you, I personally laughed 2 minutes as I stood on a platform which was supposed to carry me on the other side of the area and I stayed there, floating above the void and contemplating my life choices. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2451461676 There IS one super annoying bug which really can ruin your experience if you don't know how to get out of it. Sometimes if you're using your power to create a platform a little too close to you and the other platform on which you stand, you'll fall on the other side of the map. If you want to restart, don't save as you'll save yourself stuck where you are. To get out of that, just press F and push yourself out using your power again. It may need a few tries, but you'll get out of it. I understand, it's annoying and the first time it annoyed me, but I eventually just laughed about it like I did with the rest. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2451533098 Besides, I'm the type of person who will try to destroy everything (you know, the Zelda generation which consider that a pot is there to be destroyed as it probably contains something, yeah that type of people) and who will try to go through everything after noticing that there are funny bugs. During the 3rd Temple.... Which I did after the 4th one because for some oblivious reasons I couldn't enter inside.... There is that platform stuff I explained above, but before you reach that point there is a crack on a wall. I pilled up rocks (you can make your own rocks at this point) fell on the other side and realized that it was the end of the Temple and I had skipped 60% of it. That's silly but it was a funny moment. Anyway you get the gist of it, this game is short, you have to explore a little around you, sometimes you get stuck, sometimes you float, sometimes you look for that damn switch the whole map, unlocking the last Temple, blocking the 3rd one, only to notice once you have made your way all up to the tower using your power on bugged texture that the switch was right next to the fragments you were trying to unlock. Just go through during a good day you want to laugh and you're good to go.
BEWARE: POSSIBLE CRYPTO MINER!
Interesting little puzzle game with some cool mechanics but very rough around the edges. Within my short time of playing, I glitched out of the map (falling down into the void resolved this) but then shortly after I became stuck in a wall. There was no way to unstuck myself as I accidentally saved my game when I was stuck. You only have a single save slot and saving automatically overwrites your existing save. Therefore, my only option was to restart the game from the beginning which I wasn't going to do - both issues were caused by elevating and manipulating the pillars of earth which is a core, gameplay mechanic in this game. Sadly, it's just too easy to become stuck or glitch/bug out while using this feature. What if it were to happen 10 seconds from end game? :( My other issue was the severe lack of in game settings. You have literally two options: Windowed or Fullscreen. Also this game caused my PC to become very warm and sound like a jet engine for some reason (for me, GTA V doesn't even do that). I'm not sure if this is due to poor optimisation or a possible crypto miner*. *Upon further inspection via Task Manager, the game uses 96.5% - 97.3% of my GPU. The game is free - that could explain it. But that's no justification. If the devs could remedy this and give the game some serious TLC, that might warrant a positive review, but at present I believe this game deserves a hard pass and some additional investigation. This being their only game also adds to my suspicion that it harbours a crypto miner (developed solely for this - I could be totally wrong of course, so you be the judge) and it's not just a well meaning Indie project and/or first attempt into the gaming industry where bugs and poor optimisation are to be expected. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
sadly to many glitch s pulled through walls ended up falling of map so many times made it un playable for me but what i did mange to play i found fun and something i would definately play if these glitches were corrected
I love the way that this game looks! It has some rough edges and bugs, but it is also free and fun. It can be played in a single sitting, so if the visuals and gameplay look interesting and you're in the mood for a nice short indie game I think it's worth checking out.
This game has a really nice concept, however it is packed with tons of glitches which can result in you having to start from the beginning again so go easy.
