My Dear Delirium is a free, short but intriguing visual novel about a boy named Elliot and his troubled mind. Fully voiced acted with two endings to experience.
The Story
I cannot really describe the story. I am just not sure how to. It is disturbing, dark and unsettling in both endings but one more so than the other. It leaves you wondering what is happening as it cuts off abruptly in the end and leaves you to draw your own conclusions as to what it all means.
Gameplay & Features
Game settings include; display options and audio controls. It is more of a kinetic visual novel than a choice driven one. There is only one choice available on the part of the reader and when you get to (when the choice pops up) you sadly cannot save during the choice screen. So save here; when James and Caitlyn are shown and they are talking and the text says BUT NOW IT WAS TIME. There is no seen-text skipping so saving here will save you time in your second run though. The first playthrough took me about half an hour.
The Visuals & Audio
Visually the artwork is well done and different from the standard visual novels of character sprites on backgrounds with usually some degree of animation. In this visual novel the images are complete scenes. Like a storybook or still from an anime. Some of the images do have animations however like flowing hair or eye movements. The soundtrack is an instrumental piano score that suits the melancholy tone of the novel. The voice acting is really well done across the board. It sounds like the vocals were done in a group setting as opposed to recorded separately and pieced together. A credit to the voice actors in making the interactions sound so natural!
Overall Experience
I really enjoyed this novel, as short as it is and how it ends so suddenly. I have to admit I wish there was more of a conclusion to the story. However leaving it fall off where it does makes you question what is real and that might be the best way to end it. It gives you a taste of what the main character in the novel experiences. So in that sense it is very fitting. 🖤
When Otome Lovers encounters The Butterfly Effects, it's a blend of enchanting love stories and the magical ripples of fate!
Is it dementia or is it a cryptic message? Who knows. Butterfly//Circuit
Genre
Eine kurze, Kostenlose Visual Novel
Gameplay

Follow Main group
 Follow Second group
 Follow third group
This game is hard, uncomfortable, and disturbing to experience, but those are the very reasons why it should be experienced. My mother suffered from periods of paranoid schizophrenia; at its worst she thought the police had bugged her home & phone, and that my son - her beloved 14 years old grandson - was a "stupid imposter". This game, with its two views and interpretations of the same conversation, mirrors my hopeless attempts to reassure her and, I believe, her fear, distrust and disbelief in what I was saying. Rest in peace, Mum...
It took me about 30 minutes to finish the game, but I quite enjoyed it the whole way through. Voice acting was lovely, and there was some animation to some scenes too. I did leave it wishing it was a little longer, and wanted to see more of what it was building up, but am still glad I played. I'd say it's a game that is a good way to fill 30 minutes of your day, especially when it's free.

Interesting, good voice acting, short game 8/10
This game is indeed fully voice-acted. However, it's too short and only offers one choice which splits into two distinctly similar endings.
