Great little game, highly enjoyed what I've played so far.

"Mutual Assured Destruction Simulator" is kind of riffing on the formula of Papers Please, but the narrative is wrapped (lazily) around a simple arcade experience where you pretend to be a defense technician, and of course your job training is to play a little arcade game to stop incoming attacks. Oh, what a twist awaits you (Ender's Game much?). What do you do in the game? Not much at all, this is a "narrative experience" with a lightweight minigame stapled on. Neither the narrative experience or the minigame are worth a serious PC gamers time. The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's less than a little blip on the radar isn't offering anything truly valuable to gamers. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D graphics which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. Let's look at the price and what kind of value this actually offers gamers. A peak of [b]2 concurrent players[/b] (according to SteamDB) for a "free" game is a disastrous public reception. Out of 130 million potential players here on Steam, almost nobody was interested. Even though this is "free". That level of rejection speaks a lot for the quality of the game. This "free" game won't count toward your game collection count on your profile. With that in mind, is it something you should still download? This is a hard pass. There's no immediate financial commitment, but there are thousands of more compelling games on the platform that will give you a lot more enjoyment for your time.
