Game atmosphere can be difficult for some, but overall the game was enjoyable. The achievements do need a big grind to finish lol.

Is this a great game? No. But it's way better than 99% of the garbage on Steam anymore. At it's core, it's a pretty basic shooter where you have a limited supply of ammo, and therefore have to focus on getting headshots. Some zombies are fast, some are slow. They generally come at you in groups of 2-4. Slow ones are never really a threat. But there was clearly thought put into this game's design. At the start, the game walks you through the controls (a tutorial in a Unity game?!). Headshots do work, and you will run out of ammo if you don't use them. Even though the flashlight is a really basic gameplay design, it's functional, and there's a pretty good amount of other ambiance. It's plentiful enough with healing items, but the enemies will usually kill you in 3 hits, so you might not get a chance to use it if you aren't careful, which combined with sparse autosave points and no manual saves can make the game rather unforgiving. The levels are laid out fairly linearly, but you are rewarded for exploring where you can (usually with bonus ammo). AAA this is not, though. The graphics aren't great on the detail overall, and the animations for the enemies jerk instantly when hit. There is a sort of physics engine, but it is the sort that lets you briefly fly if you run up stairs or other inclines. One room has chairs propped up on the balcony railing for no apparent reason. And most of the enemies have a red mist float up out of them, like gravity is reversed on their blood. Still, it's clear there was care and talent here, and I haven't run into anything I could call a glitch. Certainly more than one would expect for the price.
