Its very indi, story is not much there, abit linear, but the shooting and gameplay is pretty solid. Love the gun sound effects, monsters, weapons, the stun gun is pretty neat. Recommended!
A very simple sci-fi shooter, with a decent variety of weapons and plenty of hideous monsters to use them on. The ambience is raw and bald, but the creatures are really really cool-looking, they are so ugly and disgusting that they reminded me of the necromorphs of Dead Space, and that's obviously a good thing. The levels are very long and repetitive though, and the monsters can slay you in a few hits, so the game can be a bit frustrating when it forces you to re-do all the level again just because you were ambushed from behind by a screaming aberration whose existence you didn't even suspect. However, this constant fear of death makes the game pretty tense and scary, together with the very scarce visibility. As you move forward, you are perfectly aware that a hellish demon could jump on you from nowhere at any moment, and this is clearly beneficial for the horror atmosphere of this title. I recommend this game to all patient players who, like me, have a true passion for shooting ugly things with brutal weapons. Cheers guys!
Is this a great game? No. But it's way better than 99% of the garbage on Steam anymore. At it's core, it's a pretty basic shooter where you have a limited supply of ammo, and therefore have to focus on getting headshots. Some zombies are fast, some are slow. They generally come at you in groups of 2-4. Slow ones are never really a threat. But there was clearly thought put into this game's design. At the start, the game walks you through the controls (a tutorial in a Unity game?!). Headshots do work, and you will run out of ammo if you don't use them. Even though the flashlight is a really basic gameplay design, it's functional, and there's a pretty good amount of other ambiance. It's plentiful enough with healing items, but the enemies will usually kill you in 3 hits, so you might not get a chance to use it if you aren't careful, which combined with sparse autosave points and no manual saves can make the game rather unforgiving. The levels are laid out fairly linearly, but you are rewarded for exploring where you can (usually with bonus ammo). AAA this is not, though. The graphics aren't great on the detail overall, and the animations for the enemies jerk instantly when hit. There is a sort of physics engine, but it is the sort that lets you briefly fly if you run up stairs or other inclines. One room has chairs propped up on the balcony railing for no apparent reason. And most of the enemies have a red mist float up out of them, like gravity is reversed on their blood. Still, it's clear there was care and talent here, and I haven't run into anything I could call a glitch. Certainly more than one would expect for the price.
一个比较小清新
不是我们常说的那种清新
的重口味恐怖游戏
good game
Game design is a foreign concept here
It actually starts off okay. The super long wall of text wasn't interesting, but the game was otherwise fine. Okay UI, how-to-play tutorial, some notes to read to get into the lore and so on. After the first level, the game forgets about story altogether though, so the "story mode" feels more like a random selection of maps, most of them incredibly dark and some even a bit confusing (aka, the forest). The mutants have no idle state. They know exactly where you are at all times. The moment they spawn in, they will always run towards you. And they often spawn in all directions, even behind you from areas you just cleared a moment ago. There's no rhyme or reason to them at all. Sometimes a mutant will be a fast runner and sometimes the exact same type of mutant is slow. When you shoot a mutant, they get stunned. Except sometimes when they don't. The weapons you get are the standard guns you see in every basic shooter. A pistol, assault rifle, shotgun and a grenade launcher. You have a stun gun as well, but you'll never use it unless you somehow run out of ammo in all your other guns. The pistol is basically useless. During a swarm a mutants, it will not help you much. The shotgun can shoot enemies from a far distance for some reason (zero spread), but is slow to fire. The assault rifle is the weapon you want to use, but the developer knew how good it is I think, because ammo for it was more sparse. The grenade launcher was okay but only against larger mutants. Smaller mutants got blown to pieces, meaning you couldn't loot them for ammo and health. I unlocked most achievements in survival mode by simply running around in a circle. Most enemies could not touch me then and the few that could were easily killed. Interestingly enough, the charger enemy from the story mode became a slow, normal mutant in survival mode for some reason, going back to the no rhyme or reason point again.
Should you play it?
I bought this game as part of my curiosity to play old, infamous steam games that a youtuber I like used to play. Was it worth it? Not really. If you're like me and you want to try it as part of a collection then sure, buy it on sale. Otherwise, don't bother.

Game atmosphere can be difficult for some, but overall the game was enjoyable. The achievements do need a big grind to finish lol.
