I like the idea for this game, and so far it's fairly fun. However, I think it would be better with some tweaks to the control scheme. I don't like how pushing up on the d-pad/analog stick makes you go diagonally northeast/west. I think making it so that you can press the d-pad/analog stick in that diagonal direction would make a lot more sense, and contribute to smoother controls. As of right now, I seem to be constantly fighting the controls in order to move in the direction that I want to go. They're not very intuitive at all. Edit: They tweaked the controls so that on controller, you have diagonal movement, and on keyboard/mouse you can click where you want to move and look where the mouse is. Great fixes so far and I'm very happy with how fast these updates have been rolling out!
Even after watching some gameplay videos, I wasn't sure if Mushroom Crusher Extreme was a good game, so I was definitely taking a bit of a risk when I purchased in. I'm glad I did because this game has proven to be way more enjoyable than I was expecting! I'm still not too far into the game (level 8 out of what looks to be 24 levels), but the difficulty has already escalated in a substantial, yet not unfair, way. One of the main reasons why I wasn't sure if this game would be worthwhile or not is how slowly most enemies move and attack. I thought this might be the type of game where it could be a real challenge to get a high rank on every level, but where there was little challenge in simply finishing a level because so many of the enemies looked trivial. I was right to a degree; the enemies are not at all difficult individually and the first few maps are indeed very easy as you have little to worry about beyond the standard hopping red mushrooms and one or two other enemy types. However, the challenge kicks in soon enough once the maps get bigger and you're fighting a greater quantity of enemies simultaneously and with greater variety between them. Those slow hopping mushrooms suddenly become incredibly dangerous when you're trying to avoid not only them, but poison clouds, projectiles raining from the sky, hazardous slime trails, aquatic octorok-esque enemies, and more all while pushing blocks and manipulating other parts of the environment to make paths while under serious time pressure. If you only care about clearing the levels I think Mushroom Crusher Extreme is still a worthwhile purchase, though aiming for S-ranks on all the levels will definitely give a substantial boost to its longevity, challenge, and replay value. Games with isometric perspectives and controls usually take a little while to get used to and Mushroom Crusher Extreme is no exception. That said, I felt entirely comfortable with the controls after about an hour and this game is much better at conveying platform depth than many other isometric games. Local and online co-op are both supported, though you're unlikely to have any luck finding a room unless you're playing with friends since this game is still rather obscure. On a final note, I love the way this game looks and sounds. The palette is vibrant, the enemies are charming, and the energetic soundtrack perfectly fits and frantic arcade action. Mushroom Crusher Extreme is an incredibly unique game, I truly cannot think of anything else quite like it, and its execution is phenomenal so I strongly recommend giving it a chance.
What a nice little game this is, i bought it for the art style and the graphics and end loving the game mechanics and challenge of the levels. This game is a mix between action and puzzle, where you complete levels and challenges and get power unlocks in return. The enemy variety is good, the levels are well tought and the challenge is good. Another thing to notice is that the game feels finished. Very good game more than worth the asking price.
[b]İşgalcileri yok etmek için birçok uğraş verdiğiniz bu oyunda; dinamik müziklerin eşliğinde oynanışı sağlayabiliyorsunuz. Oynanış esnasında harita tasarımından dolayı, sürekli bir hareket içerisinde bulunabilirsiniz. Bütün bu hareketlere uyum sağlarken, sizlere hasar verecek tehlikelere karşı da dikkati olmayı unutmamalısınız.
Fun game. Good music, interesting game play mechanics. Mostly played through online-coop with a friend. The skill / trinket / leveling system is pretty well balanced and fun. The balancing of spells between your party is also a cool way to encouragement teamwork / play style. Well wroth the money!
Worst game ever
私はタケノコ派なので存分にキノコを滅ぼします。そんなゲームです。 なお、タケノコ要素はありません。
The graphics are pretty entertaining, Really neat art styles. Unique weapons and abilities! (Vines are fun to play with...) Enemies is a bit difficult at first but after learning their attacks and weaknesses... Its easy to kill em! (BEAT THAT MUSHROOM CLOUD FLYING THINGY!) Maps are fun... Make sure to look for special... Places! There are plenty of trinket combinations... Even some fun ones! The coop isnt bad at all and helps you with most levels (Dont get boosted mmkay?) It does take a while to learn the controls but once u got it, then u got it!
OK,I'm having problems. 1: controlling the character is weird because the game is diagonal and you can only move in 4 directions, blockwise 2:enemies that are on you do not get damaged 3:what the hell is the return button?how do i proceed to the nextt level?also escape doesn't work either
