Experienced on the Oculus Quest 2 and Windows Mixed Reality
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/rGlzUskxyOM Muffin Fight is an online only PVP game for up to 4 players. Muffins will drop on this revolving circular assembly line type thing while you vacuum ingredients to bake muffins. I believe the strategy is to bake as many muffins as possible, while also causing mayhem on your opponents. The ingredient you put on the muffin causes it to have different traits. I believe the cherry muffins explode, the banana ones float in the air longer, and the blueberry ones break apart into smaller muffins. You throw them at opponents to I assume temporarily stop them from cooking. You also have chocoloate which you can add to any muffin as a second ingredient, but I'm not really sure what it did. Highest score at the end of the match wins. There's only one game mode. You can quickmatch, join, or host an online match (you get a room code as host). There are settings to switch up the ingredients & timer, but those did not function properly for me. I did not experience any other serious issues or bugs. Game is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting variable frame rates from 45 to 60 to 90. It was odd because this game really shouldn't be having problems running on my RTX 3080. There are no graphical settings either. The only option is the sound mix. Overall, I would say this game is nice, but maybe too simplistic. It also seems overpriced for what it is. Rate ?/10. Since I couldn't play multiplayer because you need 3 other online friends to play with and there's nobody online playing this game, I didn't feel right giving this a negative recommendation, although I was leaning that way.
Please note: I received a free Steam key through the Steam Curator Connect program. A great, hectic little game that can tire you out pretty quick. No singleplayer, really shines with 4 people.
Great 4 player VR party game with lots of action. It can really get your blood flowing too so serves as a pretty good exercise game too especially for your upper body!
Muffin fight is game that demonstrates the full power and potential of VR. Unlike most games where you sit around with a keyboard and mouse, winners in this game will need cunning, speed, and physicality. You're constantly bending down to bake your muffins, picking them up, carefully aiming and throwing. These aren't your simple tosses, these are aggressive chucking as your muffin sails through the air and smashes your opponents in the head. At first you'll think the game is easy, but you only have two hands to operate 4 main controls (lid, spatula, gun and oven door) plus you need hands free to combine items, while keeping a watchful eye on any inbound muffins, creates a hectic experience, but two thumbs up too. I've played this game several times, as I was one of the lucky ones to play with the beta. Super fun time, highly recommended.
Do you like baking muffins? Do you like chucking those freshly baked muffins at people? Then this is probably the game for you!
es solo cocinar muffins mas rapido y no es pelea de nada, no lo recomiendo, muy aburrido y basico para que sean 14 euros
Fun Arcady VR game, very tiring so best experienced in short bursts.
Its a super fun game. Its a shame not many people know about it.
This game is a blast and has a lot of potential to grow! Great for playing with friends or just duking it out with random strangers. It feels like you are in a real game show with a great stage and fun music. Fair warning it can be a real workout due to the hectic gameplay.
Disclaimer: I've received this game for free via Curator Connect. Muffin Fight is a very simple PvP focused multitasking action game. Online multiplayer is completely dead and single player mode is just plain boring. I'm ok with a VR game having small player base: a lot of amazing titles can only be properly played in their peak times. But Muffin Fight has no peak times - the only way to have a PvP match is to organize it via discord. This is way too much trouble for an average user(including me) to bother. Gameplay itself is lacking variety but overall it is fine. Throwing is responsive and fun while grabbing is a bit clunky - it's very easy to grab the wrong item. P.S. The game works on Reverb G2 just fine.
