This is a game about driving. All the things you can do to make money driving in a Sandbox RPG. I had no idea the depth of the mechanics regarding vehicles, upgrades, physics, weather.... There is a lot to a game that on it's face looks fairly basic. Don't let that fool you! I'd say the driving is somewhere between GTA 5 and BeamNG. The car customization feels good, but not overwhelming. It's ABSOLUTELY worth the price if you enjoy driving games, but wish you had real freedom. I put a podcast on and drive around doing missions as a way to relax. Great controller feel. 8/10 What would make it a 10/10 for me is better collision/visible damage A denser world. Right now things feel pretty spread apart.
Nossa! Sensacional! 🚀🔥

THE driving sim don't let the graphics and early access fool you, this is a masterful game, with realistic driving, in depth customization and a generous motor pool

So as someone who likes driving sims ... this game is like the ultimate driving sim.. but dont let that fool you like other games.. you can get out of your vehicle and do alot of activities on foot... im gonna start off by explaining one of my most memorable moments on this game.. i was playing on a high population server.. anywhere from 60 to 80 players were online.. and the server was hosting a racing event.. over half the server was all at a small circle race track (like nascar) probably 40 of us in old school box cars doing laps on a circle track... i placed almost last.. but it was fun with the tire wear and if you didnt have the right car or engine you were disqualified .. anyways that was my first event.. but if you like trucking .. taxi driving.. tow truck jobs.. paramedic.. fire.. police.. racing.. and you dont mind the poly or pixel graphics... this game is amazing.. and they are adding content almost every other month.. new trucks and cars to play with.. the ability to change your car and trucks stance .. paint it a color you want.. and thats maybe half of the game.. there is a giant economy that everyone works together to make it thrive.. or if you want to play by yourself you can have AI run your trucks for your company.. anyways ive got over 730 hours into this game and most of it is driving.. putting miles on your trucks and cars has never been more fun..
I used to think only God herself could pull me out of my Dota addiction. No human, no intervention, no amount of friends saying "you need to go outside" was ever going to work. Then this game showed up. I don't know what to call it other than divine intervention in disguise. Somewhere up there, God got tired of watching me throw ranked games at 3am and said "Alright, enough." And She sent this game instead.
This would have been a positive review, if it werent for some boneheaded descision by the developper to make the midgame grind to a halt. Which is a shame because everything else is great (if not quirky or a bit short) As you progress through the game you run into bigger, more expensive everything.... except for revenue. Upgraded from a 10,000 truck to a 500,000 rig? Cool now that you can haul twice as much, you're only going to ean half as much. Never mind that this big new rig is also slower and more expensive to operate already. In the end, you don't really get any opportunity to invest some of the tedium away so that you can take on bigger challenges. Instead, the game kind of expects you to continue to repeat the tedium. The bigger, more expensive way of doing it? That's an amusement ride, which you are going to have to work hard to get on. And don't expect that amusmenet ride to be you ticket to the next amusement ride. Oh no, first you gotta do all the tedious jobs first all over again. I am concerned that this game falls into the common trap of "Let's start with a sandbox and keep adding cars endlessly" with little thought as to how the sandbox plays. Adding more trucks (which I can't afford anyways because of the mid-game tedium) isn't going to get this game over the finish line. What will is improved game systems: for example, transfer stations and a shipping system to allow combining multiple orders together to create hub-and spoke logistics. As a bonus that would give incentive for operating a more diverse fleet, it would incentivise me to do the little jobs too (since they are part of a bigger job), and it would also give us more things to build using logistics (right now I think there's just one building type, the Depot that isn't build right out of pocket and that provides some logistical function).
The game core is good, but it's in early access and has serious optimization issues and crashes that can completely ruin your experience. My save file no longer works. Even when I try to play on other computers, the program attempts an illegal operation on the GPU and crashes. The same error occurred on both a desktop with an RTX 3090 and a laptop with a GTX 1650. Save files are important in this game because progression can take hundreds of hours, and you don't want your save to suddenly stop working because the program tries to perform operations that GPUs don't support. I hope they can fix this in the long run, but for now, keep in mind that this is an early access game released in 2021, yet even today, it's in a state where serious programming flaws can make the game unplayable. If the game had been released last year, I'd still say it's worth it despite the issues, but since it's been in Early Access for almost five years now, I think it's safe to say it'll never be a truly decent software, just a mess cobbled together in Unreal Engine that runs poorly and is riddled with serious programming bugs. EDIT: I found a way to keep playing: I just need to connect to a server instead of hosting the game myself. That way, the areas that were glitching in my save file start working again, and I can keep playing. But if I try to play offline or host my own game, I can’t make any progress.
Too grindy, too confusing, and most of all does not reward your effort or time. Most of your time will be spent trying to get up a hill at 4mph (I'm dead serious) with the engine overheating. The tutorial only teaches you how to do the most basic menial tasks that are unrewarding and have no sense of progress, the guides explain some alien game that the developers seem to be incapable of relaying to you, there's an allure of some game with economy and progress, but the level of slow and tiring banal gameplay does not motivate you to ever reach it.
