About
In Mothkeep you'll explore whimsical and colorful habitats of a peaceful nature sanctuary where you carefully spot and document moths in every stage of life: from tiny egg to sparkly adult.
Expect ~ 1-2 hours of cozy moth-spotting in nature.
Discover a range of different moth species and each of its growth stages. All based on real life examples and facts!
Each habitat has its own native moths waiting to be discovered. Hover over the environment to spot subtle hints and reveal hidden moths. Try to get a good look at each of them with careful timing and patience.
Some moths are shy or simply hard to spot.

Hey, I'm ivi and this is my very first solo Steam release. In consequence some things might not be perfect, but I'm willing to make reasonable changes, if friendly & constructive feedback is given. Thanks in advance!
During playtesting it also became clear that the game ended up being shorter than I originally planned. However, I'm very happy with the experience it offers, so instead of artificially stretching it, I decided to keep it short and focused, and simply set a lower price instead. I hope this feels like a good compromise.
I really hope you enjoy this little game 🦋💕
Take your journal and see what’s hiding among the flowers.
Whether you’re here to complete your journal or simply enjoy a quiet moment in nature, Mothkeep is waiting! 🦋

I loved this game. It's a very chill point and click where I got to learn more about moths! I love moths. It was a nice way to familiarize myself with some of the species featured and I liked the straightforward item shop. Great design, and I very much appreciated the time I spent with this game this afternoon.
Beautiful, cozy game about observing and documenting moths in their various natural habitats. You can also decorate your own garden to attract the exact moths you want to hang out with! And the music fits perfectly, I could spend all day listening to that chill and relaxing soundtrack and keep looking for moths. I played on my Steam Deck and it worked without any issues, using the trackpad and trigger to emulate mouse inputs.
Cozy, calming and nature loving game <3. If you enjoy games like Bug & Seek, you will definitely like this one. Pros: + Story <3 + Art + Cuteness + Children friendly + Educative (I never thought of moths like this before) + Calming game feel I really hope a Galina and Taras adventure will continue! ~ PirateSloth YouTube ~
This game is perfect for moth lovers and people who just want to relax. I LOVE MOTHS!!!
Gorgeous art, calming meditative gameplay, with some fun little easter eggs sprinkled in.
This is such a relaxing game. If you have vision issues, you may have trouble with aspects of the game, such as finding the eggs. But there's a hint system, represented by a magnifying glass, to help you if you're unsure whether you've missed something. And once you've unlocked the garden location, you can fill it with plants from the other areas, though you'll only get one 'moth' at a time on each plant per visit. I completed the whole game in less than 1.5 hours, though it helps that I'd played the demo. Money is easy to make and it doesn't cost much to buy supplies to find more moths. There's also a cute cat to pet in the shop. You can tell the game has been made by someone who loves nature, and I love that. The illustrations are gorgeous and it's worth getting at full price to support an indie dev, especially if they make more games like this. I hope for expansions in the future, with more moths to find from around the world, or a night time mode to find night moths.
This is such a lovely cosy game! What positively surprised me were the very detailed botanical drawings that show up in the journal after you discover the moth or their other life stages! You can even zoom in to look at them more closely! The game is quite short (like they wrote in the description), but I can see myself coming back to it and playing it again!
Mothkeep is a beautiful game with wonderful art, interesting facts & some emotion & a storyline too! A great way to spend a few hours. I highly recommend this game. It plays well & increases in difficulty slightly as you progress. The character, environments & moths themselves are designed really well & look pleasing & I can tell a lot of research has been done to ensure accurate facts whilst keeping it light & fun. I learnt lots of new things about moths. The sound & music are also great and compliment the game well. I've already recommended this game to friends. There is also a cat & some other surprises to enjoy in game. I'm shocked that this is Ivi's first solo release because the game is very good & i'd expect more issues! I hope they make more games in the future. I playtested the game so was given it for free thanks to Ivi after we met at a networking event, but I would happily pay the price & think it's very reasonable for the gameplay.
I have but one word for this game : ADORABLE ! I had such a great time collecting moths, learning about them, decorating the garden and petting the cat. The background story is very touching and adds a lot to the atmosphere. I also love the balance between cosiness and science (i want to learn more about moths now!!). It's quite easy so if you need challenge and difficulty to enjoy a game, it might not be for you. But if you yearn for a breath of fresh air away from our chaotic world, go for it at once ! Edit : I have a slight problem but i don't know if it's me being useless or if it's truly impossible. I wanted to play the game again and it seems like you can't start a new game once you're done ? Even by uninstalling and re downloading the game ? That's too bad, i would have loved it.
Beautiful art, soft gameplay, and i wish it didn't end. I would love to keep playing more areas or different animals.
