Mosaic: Game of Gods

Nice mosaic puzzle game. Relaxed mode gives you a nice way to arrange the puzzles without pressing time limits. Achievements are fair, excluding the one where you have to use 100 hints. Only thing I didn't like about this game was the music. There is only 2 tracks, that play repeatedly, and they include some horrible new age chant singing, which I cannot stand at all. When I turned the awful soundtrack off and launched my own playlist from Spotify, the gaming experience improved a LOT. Otherwise, it's very nice.

Very relaxing game, with plenty of puzzles. Wish it was a bit more difficult in places but oh well. Enjoyable anyway.

Simple, visually pleasing game, meditative gameplay. Loved the different stages with different puzzle piece textures and interaction sounds (fabric, paper, marble). Intuitive interface. If there's a way to scroll through the pieces rather than having to figure out where the ones you are shown go - I didn't find it, but the puzzles were still doable due to their simplicity. Another review mentioned that the description feels like it's suggesting the existence of a plot - and that not being the case. I agree with that person. I forgot all about there supposedly being some sort of story to the game until I completed it and got a cut-scene out of nowhere. I do not regret buying this game, I enjoyed the puzzles. Probably wouldn't play again myself - but would install to entertain a guest or relative.

I recommend this game for the puzzle lovers out there. As traditional, the mosaics are in different materials and some are quite lovely. There are 6 locations w/ 25 puzzles each for a total of 150. The music is fine but of course you can turn it off if it doesn't appeal to you. Some of the puzzles are quite intricate but none are so hard as to make them "unbearable". The last puzzle in each location rotates and in order to put the piece in its proper place you must rotate the puzzle to match the direction the piece is facing. Challenging, especially with the time limit, but doable. There is one achievement called left handed mode but that just means the puzzle pieces and the controls (hint and menu buttons) are on the left instead of the right and you only have to do one puzzle in that mode to get the achievement. Definitely worth getting (especially if on sale). I almost forgot: there is a story line but it only appears at the beginning and end of the game.

Je to hra ve stylu Glass Masquerade, akorát o něco horší. Asi největším mínusem je to, že v jednu chvíli máte dostupných jen pět kusů skla (nebo jiného materiálu) a to vás dost brzdí, když například netušíte, kam kterýkoliv z nich umístit. Není tu časový limit, ale pokud chcete mít u každého ze 150 levelů tři hvězdičky, tak je musíte dohrát do určitého času (zbylé dvě hvězdy získáte za bezchybné dokončení levelu a za nepoužití nápovědy). Líbilo se mi, jak jsou levely utříděny do balíčků, které mají každé jinou látku, ze které je vytvořen onen obraz. Je to pouze detail, ale potěšilo mě to. Levely samy o sobě nejsou moc těžké, i když obtížnost časem narůstá a z minuty se stane i dobrých pět minut na level. Při restartování vám hra pokaždé odhalí jiné části herní plochy a rozdá jiné dílky. Hra je naštěstí vcelku benevolentní, když ony dílky umísťujete na herní plochu, takže dovolí i mírný odklon od toho, kde skutečně mají být. Graficky je hra v pohodě, to stejné platí i o hudbě, kterou jsem ale velmi rychle nahradil za svou vlastní. Jsou tu také achievementy, z nichž stojí za zmínku ty, u kterých máte dohrát všechny levely na tři hvězdy. Vtip je v tom, že i když nedáte level v určitém čase, tak stejně obdržíte tři hvězdy. Hra je takhle rozbitá, ale nevadilo mi to a jen to přispívalo k takové odpočinkovější atmosféře, než abych se stresoval, že těch několik levelů nedám v určitém čase. Hra může působit dojmem, že nabízí i příběh, ale to jsou jen dvě kratičké videa - na začátku hry a na konci. Takže ne, v tomhle ohledu rozhodně nečekejte nic dechberoucího. Co víc tak o téhle hře říct? Je to příjemná oddychovka, která dokáže zabavit na několik hodin. Jednotlivé obrázky jsou pěkné, i když musím uznat, že Glass Masquerade je v tomhle ohledu přece jen o notný kus napřed. Ale i tuhle hru rozhodně doporučuji.
