Short little horror game with a surprisingly sweet storyline. -Compelling story -Horror mechanics that kept me on edge -Visually interesting art and level design decisions Ultimately, came across this game when Vargskelethor Joel streamed one of the Haunted PS1 demo discs. Certainly was worth the purchase.
Good game, but next time no riddles with electric wires..for god's sake WHY!
This game is such a nice callback to a lot of classic PS1&2 horror games. While not taking itself too seriously it tells a simple story very well and is a pretty fun setup overall. The gameplay is a perfect mix of simple action segments and freeroam/puzzle bits with perfect pacing. Overall it's short and sweet, but with fun incentives to go back and play through multiple times for those that really enjoyed it.
Short, underrated game. A bitter sweet comedy horror, with heartbreaking (but not complex) story. Really nice atmosphere, a lot of easter eggs (when you unlock easter egg mode). Retro style graphics and good puzzles. Only one issue I have. Those demon-goblins attacking you in some areas was bad designer idea. Developer should put there for example stealth gameplay, so player can slowly avoid therm.
Angelo slept soundly that night...too soundly.
A short horror adventure from the perspective of a ghost. It's spooky but also doesn't take itself too seriously, as it goes for that b-movie vibe. But man, even with this added levity the core of the story still hits you.
At one point I saw a giant scary demon face and I genuinelly thought walking into it's mouth was a good idea, but all that did was trigger a game over
A nice short experience with both spooks and humor.
This ones been chilling in my Library for a year or two, i really liked it when i tried it for the original haunted PS1 demo and i got a chance to play it in between the big releases for this year Mortal Meal is an unfortunately short but surprisingly personal horror game that you can beat in just a few hours. Its not very hard to follow or play it was a nice surprise filled with some creepy low-fi ps1 inspired moments, and some genuinely touching and funny moments too. Overall i would highly recommend if you want a game to help you get into the halloween spirit that doesnt rely on cheap jump-scares or big scary moments
Played the demo for this quite a while ago and finally got around to giving the full game a go. Fantastic visuals, good mix of humor and horror, and a very cute story! All around a really great experience and I can't wait to see what the Goblins make next!! :)
