All the hate is for people that forget this is what gaming actually did to us back in the day. I sadly didn't really have access to the arcade units but remember my big brothers MK1 on the Sega Mega Drive and UMK3 on the SNES. So getting all the collections in one place. with their pain staking difficulty has been good to get a grip on. The game is exactly what they tell you it is. Think they could have potentially ported the PS2 3D era games in there too but they'll milk us for more money down the line on that no doubt. Don't let the other reviews put you off, if you know exactly what you're getting with this game. Can we all laugh at how terrible the SNES MK1 port is. Absolutely unplayable.
Play this if you're a fan of the original Mortal Kombat 1 - 4 games. Do not bother with Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero OR Special Forces. They are both hot garbage and aged horribly. You will go insane trying to play them especially without the rewind feature.
most of these games can be played online with fight Cade, which is also Free! I appreciate the inclusion of behind the scenes stuff but that does not make the game 50$ (30$ on sale). since the updates for these games rolled out they play better without lag on my end.
fun
Can't go wrong with the klassics, the documentary section is really interesting
