About
Morimens is a roguelite card-battling game set in a world inspired by the Lovecratian mythos.
Something is wrong with Kadath. Bond with hauntingly beautiful Awakeners, build a deck from the remnants of their power, and push deeper into the mist—where the events get stranger, the cards get darker, and the truth is something you may not survive knowing.

The world is dying, yet its inhabitants remain blissfully unaware.
Confronted with a creeping, unspeakable calamity, you shall take on the role of Keeper, awakening powers intertwined with the very doom threatening existence. You will link yourself with sentient weapons teetering on the brink of madness, to withstand this monumental crisis.
If all is destined to be forgotten, would you bear the burden of secrets as testament to the world's existence, forging ahead into the unknown?
Let these tombstones bear witness, and may the Silver Key light our way.
Welcome to Mythag University, Keeper.

Beautiful where it wants to be, and deeply wrong where it doesn't—from strikingly beautiful Awakeners to visceral body horror, no two encounters look the same.
Four distinctive Realms—each with unique gameplay mechanics—form the backbone of your experience, supported by an ever-expanding library of 185+ cards and counting.
Whether you prefer overwhelming force or razor-thin combos, the depth of options lets you build exactly the deck you want, and pull off victories that feel truly earned!
Easy to pick up, endlessly replayable!
Random Events, Orison card buffs, Relic drops... every run brings a reshuffled landscape of surprises and challenges at every turn.
With out-of-run progression, flexible deckbuilding, and forgiving death mechanics, Morimens meets you where you are—whether you're a roguelite veteran or a first-time Keeper.
Haunting soundtracks and heart-rending stories draw you deeper, episode by episode, into madness, despair, and the abyss of truth, illuminating the full spectrum of human nature: from the depths of despair to the last flicker of hope.
Engage in single-player challenges that push your strategic thinking to the limit; meanwhile, the Traphase mode offers a competitive PvP experience, with brand-new card effects and mechanics. No character-building required: dive straight in and compete against other players on equal footing!
Thank you for venturing into the world of Morimens! Nothing means more to us than having you here. If you enjoy Morimens or have any feedback about your experience, please do share it with us!
Though this world may be fraught with peril, we are delighted to have crossed paths.
May the Silver Key light our way.

I am torn about this game. It is fun enough to entertain you, but it's not difficult enough to give you that invested feeling every battle. Most of the time, I'm just doing the battle for the sake of it. But it's a free to play game so I'll just give it a thumbs up. Try it yourself and decide. Plus, I don't really like turn-based games, so the fact that I played this for more than 12 hours is enough for me to give it a thumbs up. What I like about this game: 1. The mechanics of the game is easy to understand and familiarize. 2. The visual is pretty 3. It is a generous gacha game. I feel like I have more than enough to enjoy the game as it is and any purchases ( I never did) that you make are completely optional. 4. I really like the format of the game. You do minor battles, gain temporary boosts, earn coins, purchase relics for more boosts, heal your characters, and then proceed to the final boss fight. With the right strategy you can easily kill the boss in a few turns haha. What I don't like about this game: 1. The difficulty progression is too slow. I'm in the middle of Chapter 3 and I'm bored. There is a "recommended" level for every mission, and I can easily do the mission even if I'm 2-3 levels lower that the recommended. I searched on reddit when will the game be finally interesting and there were people who said it will be at the end of chapter 5 or early in chapter 6. Part of me isn't willing to wait that long, but the other part of me wants to experience how difficult chapter 6 is. 😆 2. I really can't get into the story. 3. In every line up, you can only have characters from a maximum of 2 realms. There are 4 realms in total. It would have been so much fun if you can have 1 character per realm for your line up and they fight a really OP final boss. 4. The artificial communication with the awakeners in a chat format is cringe to me.

come to the game by randomly founding it on steam store gameplay wise very good, very f2p character desgin is truly a hit (in love with tawil first sight)
I have low hours here as I've mostly played the game on its mobile edition. I do recommend playing it on PC though, since you can more easily read card text without your finger in the way. Morimens is a weird game on the surface. A gacha that limits team-building options sounds sacriligeous to the status-quo of absolute freedom in the face of optimization. However, working within those limitations encourages diverse teambuilding that I don't often see in other games. For example, a team may struggle with survivability, so you can choose to change some characters, and by extension realm/element gimmicks to shore up that weakness (or you can just lean into it and nuke stuff, but you're likely to be doing endgame level stuff at that point). As for what you're getting into gacha-wise, the game is relatively generous with pulls, especially if you aren't trying to pull every character as they drop. However the game very much wants you to pull for duplicate characters, with some members of its cast being much noticeably more "clunky" if you haven't summoned for their extra copies (Kathigu-Ra being a prime example). Every month though you are given the opportunity to get 1 free copy of a character you own, so even if you miss out on copies, you can slowly build them up over time. If you're a fan of deckbuilders and other games akin to Slay the Spire, you've got a good game to look into here.
