More dark - is a two-dimensional platformer with a side view, with elements of puzzles. The game takes place in a strange place called hell. Not a single person who got there will be able to return back. Or can he still?

Fun little puzzle platformer. Works well with a controller.
Don't buy the game for the coomer content, there is none
It's okay I guess... A nice little puzzle platformer that gets progressively more difficult but not too difficult. Although toward the end it turns into a precision platformer with twitch jumps, so it might not be everyone's cup of tea. It's interjected with little boss fights and random arcade sequences. The whole thing is very well deliverd, but could have used a bit more money on the graphical aspect. It looks like an average indie game from the early 2010s. I can't decently give it a thumb down, but you should be able to find better games to play on steam. the price is very correct though
(follow my curator page GenXPlayers for more retro and indie reviews)
This is a fun little platformer that remind me of Super Mario Bros and Chip's Challenge, both games I played a lot when young. The stomping enemies on head is easily what reminds me of Super Mario Bros, along with the hell background which reminds me of the castle fights against Bowser. Now the puzzle elements of pushing boxes around reminds me of Chip's Challenge, although that was top down and this is side way. Overall the game is a short but fun game to play, and the price is good. Can't wait to try this indie's next game!
More Dark, developed and published by HugePixel, is a 2D puzzle-platformer that embraces a retro-inspired aesthetic while delivering a compact, room-based challenge structure. Set in a stylized underworld where chaos has erupted after the ruler of Hell leaves his mischievous daughter in charge, the game frames its platforming gauntlet with a touch of dark humor. Rather than relying on heavy narrative exposition, it uses this premise as a backdrop for a steady progression of tightly constructed levels that focus on environmental puzzles and precision movement. The core gameplay revolves around navigating individual rooms filled with hazards such as spikes, pits, and moving obstacles. Each stage is relatively self-contained, encouraging players to treat it as a standalone challenge before moving on to the next. Movement mechanics are intentionally straightforward: running, jumping, and pushing objects form the backbone of interaction. The simplicity of the controls gives the game an accessible foundation, but the difficulty arises from how these mechanics are layered into increasingly intricate room designs. Timing jumps carefully, positioning crates correctly, and anticipating environmental triggers become essential skills as the levels progress. Puzzle design is where More Dark finds much of its identity. Many rooms require players to manipulate objects in a specific order, pushing blocks to activate switches or create stepping platforms. Unlike purely reflex-driven platformers, success here often demands planning rather than speed. Some puzzles require trial and error, while others reward careful observation. The satisfaction comes from solving a room cleanly after several failed attempts, though occasional physics quirks or tight platform spacing can introduce moments of frustration. When the solution clicks, however, the experience feels rewarding in a deliberate, methodical way. Visually, the game leans heavily into pixel art with a dark, moody palette dominated by reds, blacks, and muted tones. This aesthetic reinforces the hellish setting without overwhelming the player with visual noise. Backgrounds remain atmospheric yet restrained, ensuring that foreground elements and hazards are clearly visible. The art direction evokes classic 16-bit platformers while incorporating modern indie sensibilities. Animations are simple but readable, maintaining clarity during fast jumps or object manipulation. The consistency of the visual style helps unify the experience even when level layouts vary significantly. The soundtrack complements the setting with subdued, retro-inspired tracks that enhance the somber atmosphere. Ambient effects and minimalistic musical cues reinforce the sense of being in a dangerous, otherworldly environment. While the audio does not dominate the experience, it adds texture to the progression through increasingly challenging rooms. Sound effects provide functional feedback for actions like jumping or interacting with objects, maintaining the game’s emphasis on clarity and precision. More Dark’s pacing is structured around incremental challenge. With dozens of levels to complete, the game steadily escalates complexity without drastically altering its core mechanics. There are no sprawling open areas or branching paths; instead, the focus remains squarely on mastering one puzzle at a time. This structure makes it well-suited for short sessions, as each completed room provides a clear stopping point. The inclusion of achievements and hidden elements adds some replay value for players interested in full completion. While the game does not introduce groundbreaking mechanics or narrative depth, it succeeds in delivering a focused puzzle-platforming experience rooted in classic design principles. Its charm lies in its consistency and in the careful construction of individual challenges rather than in spectacle or innovation. Players who appreciate deliberate pacing, retro visuals, and methodical problem-solving will likely find More Dark engaging. Those seeking cinematic storytelling or complex mechanical systems may find it modest in scope. Ultimately, More Dark stands as a compact and atmospheric entry in the indie puzzle-platformer genre. By combining simple controls, challenging room-based design, and a cohesive dark aesthetic, it creates an experience that is both nostalgic and purposeful. It may not redefine the genre, but it offers a satisfying series of thoughtful challenges for players willing to navigate its underworld one carefully timed jump at a time. Rating: 7/10
A cute little platformer game, not too difficult, not too long. About an hour to complete. If you get it on sale it's a nice little time waster.
