MoonRun

MoonRun is a free indie 2D retro pixel endless runner/arcade shooter hybrid. Gameplay consists of buying ammo, selecting the mission you want, then starting the mission. Each mission entails sitting in a truck as it moves along a retro pixel lunar landscape, and aiming the gun at the back of the truck at various enemies as they float ahead. A lot of work seems to have gone into the game menu, mission selection and so on, while the game itself is a real basic, simple, 2D retro pixel game pf the sort that is really popular on itch.io and nowhere else. This amounts to a pretty good makeup job on the pig, but at the end of the day, it's still a pig. They chose to use obsolete retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. Resolution and controls are locked, and to make matters worse, the game displays locked in both pillar and letterboxed format, so it runs as a little postage stamp in the middle of the screen. Without any graphics tweaks or options at all, there's no way to fix this. These flaws push this game far below minimum acceptable standards for PC. The game is completely free. Nothing speaks more to a developers belief in themselves and their product than making their game available for everyone without remuneration. This is certainly a gesture that shows dedication to the gaming industry. It's a shame in this case that the implementation is below the minimum standards a dedicated PC game should offer to enthusiasts. There's no "maybe" option in Steam, unfortunately, but I hope to see more work from this developer, perhaps as part of a professional game development company that can make full use of their talents without needing to make budget/quality compromises.

Store page says the game has controller support tried Xbox One Elite Series 1 and 2 controllers as well as a ps4 controller and nope the game doesn't have any kind of controller support unless the developer just meant for Wii Controllers, but who uses that garbage? The game isn't bad but i wouldn't have wasted my time had i known the controller support wasn't true.

Para pasar el rato esta piola. Poco a poco se pone un toque mas dificil. Los controles son faciles, basicamente con el mouse ya podes disparar y cambiar de armas, y con las flechitas te moves. Tiene algunos detallitos que lo hacen agradable de jugar, obviamente no es una obra maestra ni busca serlo, pero si es disfrutable para pasar el rato. PUNTO EXTRA: TIENE UN MICHI.
