7/10 – I became a night-shift supermarket philosopher-surgeon with a mild fear of canned soup. Conner’s life is basically: trauma, groceries, existential dread, repeat. No jumpscares, just slow-burn “why is the fridge staring at me” energy. I came for horror, stayed for emotional aisle management and suspiciously deep NPCs. MoonNight Shift is a bit of a mixed bag, but not without merit. You work late shifts at a small convenience store, serving customers while something increasingly unsettling unfolds beneath the routine. The atmosphere does a fair amount of the heavy lifting. A few eerie moments and well-timed scares land nicely, even if they’re used sparingly. The core gameplay, handling items through a physics-based system, can feel a bit clunky, but it adds some tension to otherwise simple tasks. Where the game struggles most is its narrative. It introduces interesting ideas but moves between them quite abruptly, making it harder to stay fully engaged. The experience is short, and some elements feel underdeveloped as a result. On the technical side, it’s clearly a first project. Limited settings, rough edges, and minor presentation issues are noticeable, but they don’t feel careless, just unpolished.
There are small, optional side quests involving stray cats, which adds a bit of charm and gives you something else to focus on between shifts.
Overall, it’s a rough but promising debut. There’s clear creativity here, and with more polish and tighter focus, this developer could deliver something much stronger next time.
Not a bad game though the basket in the store was buggin out and stuff was despawning in front of me. Nicely designed game too though I wish we could of explored the upstairs of Conners house or had a bit longer of a game maybe replaying his past events but other than that it wasn't bad. Also RIP to the kitten that got hit by a car https://youtu.be/Eg8G75OCYiM
Great tension building! It was very spooky and fresh! Cannot wait to see more games from this author!
W Story. W Plot. W Lore. Some spelling mistakes though. Not giving me an option to save kitty was wrong and if you devs do that again I'll ensure you stub your toe each time before you go to bed. W game though. Great job for your first <3
GAME MASAM OF THE YEAR

Fun game and cool story Looking forward to more from this Dev. My Experience: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lk7ayJkvaG4&t=141s
it's alright, story is decent, other than that still need more improvement for the price, but it was pretty fun experience, especially the brainrot movie, i love it
Have not had the time to get into this but just checked it out because i really liked the scenery and vibes. but when starting up one thing I immediately noticed was that we need a setting to change camera movement or sensitivity, I play on 800 dpi but the camera was way too sensitive and moves way too fast and far when moving the mouse just a bit
