About
You are someone called the Mariner, a sailor who's been out at sea for an incredibly long time. You are headed to Elapse Island, one of the last known places of the world. There, it is said the people only exist in the moonlight, as well as the river that runs through the island: "Moon River." For whatever reason, the Mariner desperately seeks something at the end of the river.
As the Mariner, your objective is to travel to the river's end before dawn. Deep shadows obstruct each area of the island, so you must find any sources of pure light to dispel them and proceed down the river.
Along the way you'll find new people to meet, sights & sounds to experience, and secrets to uncover.
Moon River forgoes combat and heavy narrative, instead primarily consisting of exploration and puzzle solving with optional secret events scattered throughout.
Occasionally, there are special interactive events and actions to perform, such as operating a machine. These events briefly break up the regular gameplay for a more varied experience.
Beneath the main story, there is a hidden history of events from the past which can only be uncovered within the world's secret spaces and unchecked corners. Only the highly dedicated can piece the entire story together.

Moon River is an atmospheric experience with very light narrative and gameplay elements. You'll explore different areas of Elapse Island, searching for ways to dispel dark shadows that block your path along the river. This is not intended to be thrilling or challenging, but rather to evoke emotions through the colors and sounds of this environment.

Cute game, short n sweet. Plus its free, no reason not to try it out

Such a good game, the ending was perfect. Very well crafted and amazing pixel art
Moon river was such a amazing game. It was a peaceful way to kill time, with an amazing story throughout. I wish I had found and played this sooner honestly. I loved all the characters, including ourselves the mariner. I loved seeing the story develop and how easy it was to follow the gameplay. The music also just made it more calming and relaxing then I expected. If I ever need a game to play in order to relax, but with a good story and calming vibes, Moon River is top of that list. I already want to replay this after finishing the game. I just recommend you don't have a kinda broken arrow key if you play this lol.
Nice little game with an excellent soundtrack, lovely art and an easy to digest, but meaningful narrative. Worth your time. Hope to see more from BadAlias.
This game I went into with zero hope of it being as good as people say, but I was very wrong this game is amazing and a great RPG to pick up and play for a while.
Another beautiful RPGMaker made game that deserves attention, a short 6-chapter running game that tells a fairly well driven story, couple of puzzles and exploration rewarding journey. Rather a very sad tale about a Sailor that goes through the darkness to fix the void causing chaos and fear throughout the land, finding light sources to guide you to your goal with obstacles up ahead. Visually and pixel art style is very well presented, driving you into a peculiar immersion to the whole plot. Soundtrack along is very melancholic and engaging to listen to. Oh and a quick side note to the dev if they see this, there's few grammatical errors on Chapter 5. Just a heads up, otherwise thank you for the experience!
I was very pleasantly surprised to see how good this game is, I randomly stumbled upon it and it was truly a joy. Fantastic work, I eagerly await to see more.
