This is a game so unbelievably close to being perfect, but there's just one big thing holding it back, and that's the lack of end/post game content and replay value. There's not much to do after completing the final boss and the calamity elders, and what's there isn't all too exciting. They also didn't bring over the coop function from MHS2 which is a massive missed opportunity. If this game had some more endgame content and multiplayer, I could wholeheartedly say that this is worth the 70$ price tag, but as it stands, it's still a fun time, and the hours I've spent on this game is some of the most fun I've had playing games in recent memory. The exploration is incredible, I've never been so invested in exploration before because the gameplay loop of finding eggs to improve your ecosystem to get better eggs is somehow unbelievably addictive. The fights and music are also fantastic, and I do love the visuals as well, even if I'm playing on low graphics, everything looks nice and sounds incredible. Yet despite all the fun I've had and the incredible experience that was my first playthrough, I don't see myself coming back to this game much more, at least not in the same way. My hope is that the modding scene improves and we get randomizers or something else to break up the flow of the game. I do think this game is worth buying on a big sale, as the first time experience is truly spectacular, but with little ways of breaking up the gameplay loop after you've beaten the game for the first time, and with how much better this game could have been if they brought over the multiplayer, I can't justify ever buying it at full price or on a small sale. P.S. Rudy is a absolute bastard and they made the worst DLC of all time just for him. P.P.S. Don't buy the DLC.
This is a good game. However I constantly encounter loading issue. The game just stuck at the loading screen and won't progress. Multiple steam players have reported the same symptom so this is not my problem. I have a fairly high spec PC for this game therefore I believe there is a bug with RE engine. MH wild also stuck at loading screen for me when it first launch, but they somehow fixed the issue in the up coming updates. Capcom please fix this loading problem. It happens fairly frequently for me. It seems like the issue is bound to happen when I constantly enter and leave monster nest. There must be a resource leakage during loading.
Sera un juego por turnos, pero esta buenisimo, y ademas que los monsties son geniales
Game's good -- really good even -- my only gripe with it is that there isn't much end game content aside from the usual monstie min-maxing you see in every other stories title. Compared to past titles, the quality of the game's combat, story, and overall identity has become much more refined and much more polished. The fights are fun and everything is reasonably challenging; with this being the first in the stories franchise that I've played all the way through, i honestly don't think i could go back to any of the older titles without being a little disappointed... Highly recommend if you can afford it (the pricing on these games r getting outa hand...)
i honestly liked the music. the idea of preserving and releasing a monstie is actually a really cool and unique idea
My overall takeaway from this game was that it was a really fun time. It's visually STUNNING, the soundtrack is absolutely wonderful, the story was engaging and I really liked the characters in this one. I came into it with my only thought being "it's Monster Hunter, I LOVE Monster Hunter and I will most likely have fun because I love the whole series so much" so I really didn't expect that much from the story/characters and I was very pleasantly surprised by how much better it was than I anticipated!! I've had my issues with stories 2 that were definitely improved here (for example I didn't feel like the grind was making me as exhausted as it did in stories 2 but that's my personal feeling). I felt like the combat system was improved in this one as well. However, this isn't a game without flaws. There were things that made me frustrated that maybe might work for other people. I also know of things that make other people very angry that I personally don't mind. So I will not speak on those things because it really depends on the person. But my BIGGEST issue with this game is the fact that there is no post-game. I went into this game completely blind, no spoilers or anything. Had a GREAT time with the final boss, it has an amazing theme and I loved the ending. I was very happy to fight alongside one of the characters in the final section of the battle, who also happens to be my favorite character in the whole game. What I did NOT expect after all that GOOD stuff was to be slapped in the face with the note saying I finished the story and will now be dropped right back before the final fight. It was just so... Anti-climactic and devastatingly disappointing. I feel like this game has such HUGE potential for post-game with maybe expanding on the environment restoration (I felt like it was a fun mechanic but it ws lacking something for me), maybe adding some research realted stuff? Or maybe something with actually fixing the damages that were done during the final battle? There's a lot that could be added in, especially with, you know, the return of one of the characters that we didn't get to talk to/fight alongside with during almost the entire game? Like come on, I'm just suposed to go back to before the battle and forget about the guy? That's so sad. It's very clear how much hard work has gone into this game and you can see it every moment as you play. I just really wish there was a post-game, it feels like such wasted potential, especially seeing how nicely the characters and story were written in this one. I recommend this game because I truly believe it's a really good time but I can't say I wasn't disappointed at the very end. I can only hope that the devs see how many people are sad about this and maybe decide to actually do something about it. I would be deligthed if a post-game was added, I don't even care if it's a DLC as long as it actually gets the proper care it deserves.
