About
Welcome, Novice, to Holy Island, home to the greatest monastic library of the Dark Ages! You are tasked with running this revered place of learning, and completing our Legendary Collection...
Every morning new books are delivered, each bearing a distinct symbol upon their cover. Remember them well! Then place them upon shelves according to thine own design.
Cometh the night, you must deliver the Scribes their chosen tomes. Recall where thy books are placed, for this is a test of thine memory!
The Abbot shall reward thy toils with Blessings. Spend them on Perkes to Level Up thy Strength, Speed and Carpentry skill. Or expand the Collection by raising new and lofty shelves or unlocking new chambers.
After dark, vermin, spirits and all manner of beasts shall assail thy Collection. Take up thy dagger, crossbow or holy cross to preserve thy labours. Then use the quill to restore any damaged books. Note that thou can reduce or disable thy foes if a more chilled experience is desired.
Immerse thyself in a host of systems-based emergent gameplay, including simulated flame and combustion, water dousing by pail, the chaotic physics of tumbling and thrown books, a day and night cycle, ballistic weapons and melee combat.

great coop game, fun challange
There were very few bugs that made for hilarious moments with the husband, very captivating games, we were so entranced we blinked and all of a sudden it was 8 hours later! Great combination of funny and chaotic (if you want, you can turn off monsters and just relax) ! Highly Highly Recommend this game!
I've been on a sorting game kick lately, but this was a breath of fresh air I didn't realize I needed. Come up with your own organizational system, tweak the game's settings to match your playstyle, and fight baddies (if you so choose).

This must be that BookTook I've heard about. Great game, wonderful concept. Organising books, solo or with your friends, into whatever you decide each category should be as the library rapidly expands and demands you to actually remember and organise it properly amongst yourselves is a great idea in concept, and turns out it is an excellent game too. I think what really makes this game stand out most to me is the customisable settings for basically everything in the game, so you can make it ridiculous with too many books, enemies, and too little time to do it all in if that's what you're after, or just turn everything way down (each setting and even enemy type adjustable individually, which is also great), or off, and take it as slow as you feel like and turn the previously hectic book collection/protection into a chill little library keeper thing, or just turn off the specific things you don't want. While I'm looking forward to whatever ideas the developers have for this in the future, it's also an entirely complete game right now and completely worth what they're asking for.
Multiple hours of politely arguing on whether or not 'seashells' should go in the animal section or the miscalleneous section, running back to the same building because you accidentally picked up the wrong one of the identical 'ripples', and scouring through the entire map for a book that you just can't seem to find. I think that some upgrades are arbitrary, and that you don't get enough speed for the lategame, and certain enemies can be overwhelming or just frustrating, but I definitely enjoyed sorting and cleaning up all of the books, and seeing how fast I can get a night finished with all of the preparations I made. Just need a bit of patience for the jank.
- Game premise is pretty fun, played with a friend and got most upgrade maxed out - Easy to put book into the shelf, killing mob or no prob when using items, got item stuck out of bound bc i thought it was a useable table :.D - Hope the dev add more mobs or events into the game tho 8.5/10
You can pet the cat, an orange fluffy boy with green eyes, aptly named Lord Fluffy, 10/10 just for that And as for the gameplay loop? Love it, actually, also 10/10 20/10 all in all
VERILY
My wife and I played the demo a few times because we enjoyed it so much after our baby's bed time. We were eagerly awaiting the full release and are having even more fun. A few odd bugs here and there but it is great.
Fun, cozy, and monks with books!
