It started in your foot. Now it’s in your head. All that remains is the command: GO UP. Meet strange neighbors. Make bad trades. Every ascent teaches you what you should have done differently.

About
The only thought left is: GO UP.
The building has thirty floors. Your body has problems - hunger, thirst, exhaustion. The infection doesn’t care. It only wants altitude.
Your body is in shambles... but the foot keeps climbing.
The building is not haunted. The people in it are not monsters - and they want things. Junk. Food. Favors. Someone to do something mildly humiliating to their neighbor.
A few of them know things they shouldn't. And maybe what they know has something in common.
You're the only one collecting the pieces.
The building is the same every time you climb it. The neighbors are the same. The trades are the same. The vending machine on the ground floor has the same stock.
What changes is what you know.
Every run, you learn something. A shortcut. A better trade. An item you thought was useless until it saved your life. Slowly, the building starts to make sense.
You’ll know what to do next time.
But your foot isn’t waiting.
MOLDRISE features a full-length original soundtrack, composed by Mike Klubnika, creator of Buckshot Roulette, s.p.l.i.t., and Machine Party.
First-person survival horror. Retro aesthetics. A thirty-floor apartment building with no empty floors and no happy endings.

What can I say? I give this game a big thumbs UP UP UP
Awesome, weird little title. Definitely reminiscent of a few other games in this niche genre (Look Outside and No, I'm Not a Human are mentioned in other reviews), this features a quirky little story in which you're racing against various systems in your body to get to the roof prior to succumbing to an infection. Moldrise is very atmospheric, featuring retro graphics and a morbid sense of humor. Overall, this was super fun to play through, and I feel like there's potential to showcase a bunch of different endings.

Having played the demo I knew somewhat what to expect, but the full game is just an amazing experience that is way more fleshed out. There is replayability to see what different things you can experience while annoying your neighbors in your never-ending need to go UP, I don't even think in my 2 hours of playing that I have done everything I can witness yet. You can actually speedrun the game as you figure things out too. The atmosphere, the noise your foot makes as you get more infected, the difference in your crazy neighbors (Be careful not to insult Italian culture!), the randomness of things you find and not realizing if they will be helpful later.....It all just wraps up to an amazing experience. I always suggest playing the game yourself, but if you would like to see my playthrough you can find it here: https://youtu.be/bdg-oF8_EYk?si=Vhuh8_uqi1SHdT2G
Good.
This horror games is SO unique! Get a pen and a notepad out so you can track the good/bad choices you make, you're gonna need it! I played this for 109 min straight. I did not finish the game because, by the time I got close, I had to get to bed but it was FANTASTIC! This is so different from anything else that I've ever played in my life! Totally worth every penny!!
Fantasic game, If I had to say Downvote or UPUPUPUPUPUPUPvote, I'd go UP UP UP UP UP UP UP
Really enjoyed this. Perfect length where the game felt like it had an impact but didn't overstay its welcome. The design is clever - it's such that you can replay the game multiple times to get different endings without having to re-do much of the busy work. Awesome style, fun premise, and enough substance to keep me interested. It's definitely a little pricey for how short the game is, but I'd still call this a worthy pickup.
very nice game, i enjoyed it all the time i was playing!
wow
honestly not sure what to write except please more(?) the vibe and atmosphere are just amazing everything about this game oozes with character and i just wanna spend more time with it from the artstyle to the character and their dialogue and the whole worldbuilding i just love everything about this the music and sound design fit perfectly and all in all i hope some form of continuation of this game or world is in the works whether thats through an update, dlc or a sequel of some kind i do have to mention tho that in its current state the game is pretty short and sadly doesnt offer too much replay value aside from a few alternative endings, achievements and so on so you could finish your first full run within two hours or less some small feedback/qol: - let us adjust stuff about the game like fov(at least a bit), hud opacity/scale and please PLEASE add support for mouse side buttons(m4 and m5) because i usually have crouch on those and the game wont register them in the settings I NEED THIS - allow for higher fps limits like 240 or 360 because rn my options are go lower than what my monitor has or unlimited which is obviously way too much - this isnt for me personally but i think many people would like a crouch toggle option the wishful thinking section: - if i could add "one" thing it would be some kinda survival difficulty/mode (or endless however thats gonna work) that randomizes more elements like the spawns of certain relevant objects and loot(to have a more "first time playing" experience and not just run through the game in a few minutes) and has us managing our character more and/or maybe add some elements that just extend the duration of a run more - also and i know this is a pretty big one too but maybe consider adding some form of arms and/or legs i think it would add a lot(like hands rummaging through stuff or using certain items and obviously the legs below you which could also allow for a diegetic way of displaying the progress of the fungus tho i dont know how much more work is even planned at all for this game) fyi ill probably come back to this review at some point
