Literally just a bad mobile game
Fun game but being a game on steam and lacking popular features such as Achievements and Trading cards is lackluster. I will change my review if/when achievements and trading cards are added but it feels like they ported a free game to steam just as a cash cow and not for the players.
This was somewhat cute on mobile if you had some free time waiting on whatever, despite the energy system that plagues most mobile games. However, this game is overpriced as the way it is for a desktop game. Like, you can play an actual RPG instead of this clicker.
Eh, I gave it a chance, but it's just... not particularly fun. I don't have anything in particular to hate on here, it's just... for the same money I could go get a sandwich and get more enjoyment out of it.
Просто бездумная донатная дрочильня на телефон, тут важно понимать, что ты ничего не делаешь и ни на что не влияешь, просто кликаешь, а затем упираешься в гриндволл. https://youtu.be/07hBIW74Evo
Minimal Dungeon RPG delivers exactly what you expect, it's a brainless clicker. It follows the tired incrementer formula of clicking buttons to inflate digital numbers so you can buy more stuff so the numbers go higher when you click. It's all so tedious. The technical presentation is amateurish and comes across as lazy, the whole thing could have been done in a browser, yet here we are once more seeing amateur developers confuse Steam for Firefox and Chrome and dumping browser tier shovelware on the store. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The game features only stats 2D menus with almost no images, the kind of thing you expect to see in browser games. Pac-Man, Space Invaders and Asteroids had more advanced animation and visuals going on than this game does. The controls can't be customised because the game doesn't really have any interface beyond menus and simple UI controls no different from dialog boxes in Windows Explorer. If you think about it, this barely counts as an "interactive" game. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play fully immersive games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here. The game features no proper level design or game/story flow/plot, as they opted to try to use samey repetitive procgen algorithms as a substitute for adding such content to the game, to avoid doing the important job of level/map design. As a result, the game doesn't actually have any content worth mentioning, just endless, boring, repetitive, soulless algorithmically generated sameyness. Developers must learn that procedural generation is not an acceptable substitute for content. Those technical issues put this game beneath what is expected from a contemporary, professionally developed PC game. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 140,000+ games on Steam? Yet again, we've caught a greedy mobile developer trying to scam PC gamers. On Steam, this is $6 USD, on app stores? Free for mobile peasants. PC gamers have to pay for a free mobile app. Disgusting. Mobile devs must learn PC gamers are not here to be gouged, and can't be expected to pay a premium for a free mobile app just because it's been lazily dumped on Steam. This is unacceptable disrespect for PC gamers. This can be played for nothing on any phone, and the quality problems only add insult to injury. There is no world in which paying for this makes sense. $6 USD for a FREE mobile app!!! Just who do they think we are?
