Minigame Party VR is a great game overall that is definitely worth the while if you have a HTC Vive. It’s an excellent experience in VR, lots of fun, and can become very competitive, very quickly. All of the minigames are well made and the controls are very natural. I found myself picking up how to play the games in less than a minute and this goes for my friends and family also. Overall, this is a great game and I definitely would recommend getting it if you have a Vive.
Cool game, a good, interactive VR experience. Easy to understand games and unique visuals, super fun to gather a few friends and compete.
The balls in both throwing games don't fly the way you would expect them to, and the target shooting game requires awkward and unergonomic handling of the controllers. The audio doesn't feel relative so in the sword game, the best of the mini-games here, the dings don't tell you where the targets are popping up.
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
You can watch my video review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/SS7y5Awf0-c I know this game is currently only .49 cents USD (Steam Summer Sale 2019), but I just can't recommend it. I didn't have any fun playing any of the mini-games and I didn't get .49 cents worth of entertainment value. The whole experience felt clunky, especially on the Oculus Rift where every minigame starts behind you. The minigames themselves wouldn't be so bad if the physics felt right, but they don't. On the sword swinging one, there is no tactile feedback to your swings. On the basketball minigame, the ball physics seems like it's too rigid which makes it difficult to put some trajectory with the further targets. On the target shooting one, the gun angle is wrong on the Oculus Touch Controllers and you have to spam the trigger finger. Finally, on the hoop throwing one, the physics feels too floaty ... like you're throwing a ball in space with little gravity. There are local leaderboards for each minigame. However, I don't want to play any of them anymore after a total of 15 minutes of play. Not worth the .49 cents I paid. Rate 4.5/10.
After updated to verion 1.0.4, I finish each minigame and type my name to the record, there's no response after pressing submit button, so I cannot change to another minigame without quit and restart the program, could you fix this bug???
