If you get this game in a bundle or for <$2, it's just about worth the 30-45 minutes it takes to play it. There are 12 scenarios, each of which have 5 mostly static scenes that you can rotate around in 3D and then put in sequential order. When you do, it shows them to you again in order and you go to the next. If you get it wrong (once I switched two scenes), it shows you which ones were right so you can fix the rest. That's it, you're done, back to the menu. Someone went to a lot of trouble to make these cute 3D scenes in the Unreal engine. They are charming, and a few illustrate interesting potential stories that you can imagine going on, but two or three seem totally throw-away, such as one with harvesting on a farm and one with a goal in a soccer game. It's kind of clever, but not really worth paying money for, and it's very easy and short with no replay value at all. Sorry.
A short 30 minute game of putting various stories in order. There are 12 different stories that have 5 scenes each and you have to arrange the scenes in the correct order. It's very simplistic and only one of there troubled me. The only real complaint that I have about it is that I wish the game was longer because it was pretty enjoyable seeing how each story played out. The game was enjoyable, but I feel that $4 is steep for a 30 minute game. If it went on sale for at least 50% off, I'd recommend it if the game sounds interesting to you.
Miniature - The Story Puzzle is an 8 year old handheld (Nintendo Switch) game that's inexplicably been put on Steam, although really this looks more like a mobile app than anything else. The idea is that you are given a series of scenes that you arrange in the correct order to create a short vignette story. Like if you went to a museum and saw a series of dioramas representing an event, but they were out of order so you need to set the order right. That's seriously all there is to this... it barely qualifies as a game. The game is very very short and can be finished in half an hour. Developers have at least some responsibility to provide enough content to make a game last more than 2 hours if they're serious about providing something of value to gamers. There's less content here than some free game demos. The game is very simplistic, small and limited in scope and ambition. This feels more like a tech demo, proof of concept or student homework assignment rather than a fully fledged product designed for PC gamers. As such it doesn't offer any real value as a serious PC game. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The developers didn't design the game for modern gaming PCs, as such the display resolution caps out at around 1440p, there's no support for the state-of-the-art 4K or higher resolutions. The game simply won't look right on modern gaming displays due to this failure on the part of the developers. The game assets are fairly mediocre/low quality, in some places they appear mismatched... Ultimately the quality of these assets, and thus the overall visual is lower than average, and low quality always makes for a less than optimal gaming experience. Remember, we're looking for the best of the best of 100,000+ games on Steam. The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just point and click stuff like a browser/Flash game. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here. Because this is designed for handheld/portable gaming appliances, it carries a number of deliberate design deficiencies. Compromises were made to cater to the low power handheld gaming appliances that the game was designed for. These are unfortunate compromises and limitations that PC gamers shouldn't be forced to accept, but it's evident that PC was a second thought for the mobile game developers. The game is deficient as a result of these choices, and would have been so much better without the handicaps that designing games for low power handhelds forces upon a game. While this might run well on a Steam Deck, we must remember the vast majority of gamers here are gaming on PC. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 4 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 100,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? Miniature - The Story Puzzle is relatively cheap at $4 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. This is also competing with over 11,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.
Lovely claymation-looking graphics and kind of unique concept but I would prefer it with everything focused without the annoying blur on things without the mouse pointer over them

Interesting concept and attractive visuals. Finished the game in approx 30 minutes (including about 5 min trying to figure out the interface/controls). For $2 on sale I won't complain. I would recommend this game for a child 8-10 years old as a simple tool for training the mind in logic, sequence, and paying attention to details. For an adult, it's pretty much just a click through.
It's worth about 25 cents.
