Just installed the game and played a few races. The game is fantastic, lots of fun, technically it is very clean and optimized. The graphics are awesome with a great mix of new and old (simple but still lovelly / pixelized) style. Control / feeling is really great and I can really feel the car. Lots of options, cars and circuits. Can't wait to play more and have more fun. Remind me a lot of SuperCars II and II or SkidMarks or simiar games on Amiga / Atari ST.
This game needs to be more widely known. I had a good time with it, and will surely play all of the seasons! A small drawback is that the game throws you to the main menu everytime you finish a race. That is quite uncomfortable, but the racing is nice, handling is cool (no "ultra drift - wheels on soapy floor" kind of thing). And performing stunts is quite easy! Another drawback, there is no multiplayer. This game with MP would be lots of fun. Would recommend. 7/10
The style and idea behind this game is fun, but without any kind of multiplayer I think there is a lot of wasted potential. I could see this being a successful party game, but it seems to be more of a single player campaign type. It is still a new game so i hope the dev adds more features like this. On a second note, I just don't like the controllability of your racer. A combination of the drifty turning mechanics, bumpy racing surfaces (that sometimes give you unwanted air-time), and most importantly the fixed camera angle, make it very difficult to play. if either of these were fixed I would recommend. On a side note I got this game for a very low price with a bundle key, but at full price I would say the mechanics of the game as well as game play need improvement.
It's not a fun game
>>Deutsche Version weiter unten<< It's a fun little racing game. Content You have to play the 12 different Seasons in the open world chronologically. Each Season has 4 races/events, 3 of which must be successfully completed to unlock the next Season. There are different modes, like races, Minikhana events, duels and sprints. You can buy new cars, tune the cars and customize them. The open world has different areas and themes in which the Seasons take place. Duration In 4h I've played all 12 Seasons and Special Events as well as the Final Race (though I didn't complete every Season and don't own every car). Gameplay The gameplay works fine. I recommend playing with isometric camera for more fun, but the normal camera leads to more success. Using the boost doesn't feel very effective. It triggers a visual effect, but the car doesn't feel faster. Cons The only real downside for me is the menu. After each and every race you get thrown back into the main menu. There's no way to continuously play one Season. Pros Rich in variety, entertaining, nice low poly style. Short, fun game for an occasional racing session. Check out my Mini Racing World video, linked below, in case you want to see more gameplay (but it's in German) _____________________________________________ Es ist ein lustiges kleines Rennspiel.
This game has some of the worst steering I have ever experienced in a racing game.
Mini racing world isn't bad and it has cute cars that can drift. as others have said the handling isn't the best but these are mini cars so i can deal with that but it really needs a map during races and a better camera option (there are only 2 modes fixed and follow the car). here you have an overworld where you go to the different seasons (races). doing all the races in each event unlocks the next and so on. this is a bargain bin game as it plays ok but has a lot of rough edges. not having online or pvp/races with friends is missed opportunity. 5/10
For a driving game that has drifting that is meant to have at least decent controls this game has the worst controls, you cannot make fine motions you are forced to do huge motions. Reversing is something I assume the developers didn't even test because when you reverse slowly you go the wrong way. I have a hunch the developers have never actually seen a car IRL to create such a terrible game like this. The cameras are also awful, by default the camera is the one in the sky that makes the car look "mini" but you can't use it for racing as you can't see what's in front of you more than half of the time and it's even harder to steer, and you can't use it in the hub world because for instance if you drive from Season 1 to Season 2 you can't see the Season 2 sign, then for the drifting maps where you might want an eye in the sky the controls are wonky when viewing from there. You will probably always want to use the camera behind your car so every time you change area you have to change the camera. Sound design is grating, you can have car sounds without being a whiny 2 cylinder that has a looping 1 second of audio that drowns out the bland music. The visuals are nice until you have a closer look and realise that they went with a low poly aesthetic because they didn't want to hire an artist to make good looking models. I can fully recommend avoiding this game, I got it for free and it doesn't have a good value for money for me as I want my time back.
This game has cats! That's it!
I'll be back, maybe.
