Good game, just a shame that only one map for free.
Has potential.
I have played both single player mode and multiplayer with my friend. The single player mode ran perfect, no bugs encountered at all. However, while in multiplayer mode, there were a few instances of balls not being hit as the interface would suggest. Also, the voice chat in multiplayer is a bit tricky. It would be better if Voice chat was automatically enabled while in multiplayer mode. Allowing for opponents balls to affect yours while in multiplayer is a cool feature. I strongly suggest that you keep it, as this sets your game apart from other popular mini golf games (Walkabout), to effectively 'block' your opponent's shot. That is something unique to this game. It made for a few fun holes that my friend and I played, being able to 'block' each other's shots. While I appreciate the feature of using the trigger to follow your shot, it would also be nice to have a buttton that allows for going straight back to where the ball was hit. Currently, there is no feature to allow for that. Also, te method of using teleport all of the time is a bit problematic. It would be useful to have a button dedicated to taking you back to the spot the last shot was hit. Also, the ability to replay your shot is something that I hope you could add. Both your shot, AND your opponents. They ball physics are very good. There were a couple of times when a ball took an unexpected hop up. Also, the routine of simply alternating turns when in multiplayer could be enhaced to reflect the turn rules of golf. That is the best thing about these new games, is what sets them apart from others. A flying feature, or another quicker way to move would be useful as well. All in all...... I enjoyed, but able to test how the game physics react can use a little cleaning up. The Antarctic map and the jungle maps were my favorites. The graphics with the dinosaurs in the Jungle map were really cool to watch.

Gestion de l'Oculus Rift et Touch parfaite, mécanique de jeu et physique bien faites, la démo est amusante 😊
first 9 holes are free I like the realistic looking graphics walkabout feels more realistic
I'm no golf player by any means, but I had no issues hitting the ball and even having it go where I wanted. So physics-wise it appeals to me. I'm not into multiplayer/competitive play either, but there's a leaderboard for each course if you want to hone your skill. The courses have a nice atmosphere to them, there's nothing stopping you from trying the free map first & if you like it, expect even more from the full game's maps (paid DLC basically is the price you pay for this game)! :) Note: My impressions are based on the beta test, where I got to experience all the maps & could provide feedback straight to the dev. All in all that was a positive experience & the dev was really helpful. It's nice to see a dev that cares about their product. ;)
Golf has never been my thing but this is fun when you first get into it. playing with yourself or friend doesn't matter, still fun!
"Mini Golf Aeons" is Mini Golf Aeons isn't free, it's paywalled with the full content locked behind DLC. Talk about bait and switch... Misleading marketing on a non-free product is abuse of the "free" section of Steam. Mini Golf Aeons is a crap dinosaur minigolf VR tech demo... but remember, unless you buy the DLC, you don't actually get the full product, making this nothing more than an advertisement. Valve provides a specific way to handle demos, free trials and advertisments. Steamworks Documentation... something I would say is mandatory reading before anyone thinks about abusing Steam Direct. This "developer" either didn't responsibly try to understand Steam, or worse, deliberately and wilfully chose to ignore the correct process just to pollute Steam with for-profit advertising. Either way, this is unprofessional and bad for gamers, and here we are, looking at an advert. This "developer" behind this advertisement wants a whopping $12 USD in DLC purchases to remove the paywall. This is a predatory and misleading way to advertise a game. Avoid this junkware and keep your money. On the important matter of pricing and value for gamers, there's a lot going on here with monetisation, so this really shouldn't be considered a truly free product because of that. As an advertisement, this is only free in the same way that adverts on Youtube and banner ads in your browser are. This is a game demo that's been dumped on Steam to advertise another Steam store page in the hopes of raking in some cash. Just because advertisements are free, doesn't mean they're worth your time. It's important to understand there's a formal process to create a demo/page for a game which hasn't been followed here: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/application/demos While it might seem like an innocuous mistake, publishing demos and advertisements as if they are full games is misleading and in some ways harmful. This advertisement is taking up marketing space and visibility that would be better made available to a developer that's done the right thing and created a full game. Instead, that visibility is given over to a demo/advert that's been published incorrectly and is polluting the marketplace. It's unclear if this mistake was made through incompetence or a deliberate intent to mislead gamers. Often developers may choose to incorrectly publish demo/advertisements as separate games as a cheap way to bypass paying Valve for marketing presence on the Steam front page, which may seem clever to them, but it's harmful behaviour and it's not good for gamers. A peak of 6 concurrent players (according to SteamDB) for a "free" game is a disastrous public reception. Out of 130 million potential players here on Steam, almost nobody was interested. Even though this is "free". That level of rejection speaks a lot for the quality of the game... but people obviously saw this was just an advertisement and presumably were as repulsed as anyone else by the disgusting attempt to mislead gamers here. Advertisements and incorrectly published demos don't add +1 to your game collector count, they aren't full games. It's impossible for me to recommend this incorrectly published advertising spam to gamers, you deserve better than adverts. At the end of the day, my reviews are intended to help gamers find quality and avoid the dregs (with over 140,000 games on Steam... not all of them are masterpieces). If you think my review is wrong, definitely add this to your library, download it and play it (and pay your $12 to bypass the paywall)... it's surely exactly the kind of game you'll love (but I doubt it will work out that way). Game reviews are for gamers to share their thoughts and help others choose where to spend valuable time. If my review helps you to grab or reject this game, then my job is done.
